YAY Hannibal! Good trend though I want to see how it fares vs. original eps… It’s looking good but I wanna be cautious since this is a show I actually enjoy…

@ Rob R…..the talent on idol this year has been marginal at best. It was the worst group of guys ever assembled for the live shows, so its no surprise there are 5 girls left. I contend this was done on purpose as to finally get a female winner again to slow down the wgwg movement. The only truly amazing talent is Candice. She could compete any year and in any season with any of the idols, after her it’s a sharper dropoff than the judges would try and have people believe. Kree is good, but she seems at times to be so far from her country roots, that I often wonder if the Country community will embrace her. And then there is the other 3 girls, who in most past seasons would have already been voted off. Janelle is the likeable young Tennessee girl, but she is far from being ready for primetime as country counterparts from the past few seasons such as Skyler Laine, Hollie Cavanagh, and Lauren Allaina. Angie Miller is probably one of the most over rated contestants on the show in recent memory. But at the same time one of the most marketable. Because at the end of the day that’s what the show is really about, and the show will try to steer the people in her direction whenever it can. I can’t think of one girl that she could of even beaten out to get on the live shows last year. The one wild card is Amber, America seems to really care less about her. She’s got talent, but she is less polished than Kree, and certainly doesn’t have the range that Candice does.

If a show is good, it shouldn’t matter what network it is on. I think that’s the dumbest excuse people use. The whole I wish my show was on CBS instead of NBC is just hogwash. Throughout history each network has had their share of success as well as failures. If your show is good people will find it. If people deem Hannibal as a good show, people will find it.

Hannibal is really a good show, just saw it on demand this weekend. Maybe NBC should start making more thrillers like this, maybe it will turn the network around.
