Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    When I said “a drama for mid-season” I meant a not a new drama but one between CSI: NY, Vegas and Golden Boy.

    @I feel like reruns of NCIS or Person of Interest would do better than Vegas.

    Even ncis la and cm. TBBT rerun is too expensive for fridays i guess but cbs has a lot from dramas.(during ncaa games cbs save two reruns on thursday. For example TBBT air once on monday-before final game and second saved rerun will air on next thursday) They have two PoI saved reruns too. But in general they really need better friday next season. And sunday too.

    One of the few all new days where cbs almost lose from other networks reruns.

    @James and @RSH: I’ve read that the season finale of Nikita is meant to end of a cliffhanger. So if you guys agree that last nights episode was great, then I’d be preparing yourself. Mostly because it’s never ended on a cliffhanger, but rather open-ended for you to place your own theories.

    @rockmypants
    Why was Grimm a repeat last night?

    For the same reason that most shows have repeats during the spring, there are more weeks left in the season than episodes left to air.

    Also, shouldn’t Fashion Star be in second place at 8:00? It tied Happy Endings and Kitchen Nightmares in the demo but had the most viewers.

    Total viewership is meaningless, why should it be used as a tiebreaker?

  • mm1surfer

    Too bad for Vegas – was really hoping the Friday numbers would come close to matching Blue Bloods. Hope CBS allows the show to complete its 21 episode run – RIP…

  • Fake Me Out

    @r0ckmypants

    Why was Grimm a repeat last night? Four straight months off the air weren’t enough?

    Agree 110% … NBC … Nothing But Chimps running the network … damn monkey!

  • John A

    Nikita most watched show of the week? Easy say that when wednesday and thursday were repeats LOL. And Arrow repeat beat it in viewers.

  • BaiDu_Nikita_Ba

    yay for nikita

  • Charmed

    TCD repeated quite well. I think The CW are testing the waters for next season with TCD repeating on Friday and BATB on Tuesday.

    @Ultima

    For the same reason that most shows have repeats during the spring, there are more weeks left in the season than episodes left to air.

    That may be fine for a show that took the normal time off midseason but Grimm was off for almost 4 months … if they didn’t have enough to run straight through then they should have stayed off another week or two so they could run repeat free the remainder of the year … off 4 months, back a few weeks, off again?! … just another stupid NBC schedule decision … damn monkey!

  • Dave

    I can’t comprehend why The Carrie Diaries even has a “shot ” at renewal?

    I mean seriously?! The CW had shows that performed slightly better than Carrie is this season and they were cancelled! No way online views can save a show with such bad demos in its 1st year.

    Toss it in the same bin you tossed 90210 and Gossip Girl CW!

  • Ultima

    off 4 months, back a few weeks, off again?! … just another stupid NBC schedule decision

    Yeah, it’s awful. Airing one repeat amidst ten original episodes. :roll:

  • Marc

    Wow. Brutal for HE. Losing to Fashion Star and a repeat of Kitchen Nightmares for the hour. That .6 at 8:30 is less than half of what MC was pulling. This has to put LMS and MC into the likely renewal stages.

  • Ultima

    @Dave
    The CW had shows that performed slightly better than Carrie is this season and they were cancelled!

    What are you talking about? The Carrie Diaries averaged a 0.5 rating, better than Emily Owens and Cult, and much better than 90210 since midseason.

  • Valentin

    TCD has still a shot because of the online viewers. I think it could be back in mid-season. Nikita did great last night, hope it will be adjust up!

  • dave

    Funny that Amanda from nikita was on vegas lastnight and it was a really good episode only wish more people would watch it very well acted show

  • Ultima

    @Marc
    This has to put LMS and MC into the likely renewal stages.

    Why? The assumption has been that ABC would cancel Happy Endings since it was pulled off the schedule in February. Happy Endings doing poorly on Friday was expected, therefore nothing has changed.

    Clearly You Haven’t Watched Nikita. Even if you did, you Know inside your heart that Its an Amazing show but your just afraid to Admit it! Nikita is one of CW best ever Made shows, The ratings may be pathetic but it sure doesn’t effect the Quality of the Show! I mean i watched loads of shows even some of the highest Rated Shows like NCIS, they, in my opinion is Nothing Like watch Nikita delivers Every Episode! Every Episode of Nikita is a shock- the storyline just gets BETTER AND BETTER!

    Yes it is, so glad you agree NBC makes yet another stupid mistake in not waiting 1 more week to return after taking 16 weeks off so as to avoid repeats the remainder of the season … damn moneky!
