Esquire Network

G4 will no longer become The Esquire Network on April 22. NBC Universal has decided to delay the channel's rebranding until later this summer, per The Hollywood Reporter. The schedule change will allow the new network to debut with five original series instead of two. The fledgling channel's slate will include Knife Fight, The Getaway, How I Rock It, American Field Trip and season five of American Ninja Warrior.

    Booooooo

  • Rabbit

Damn, I was looking forward to the network. I guess it’ll launch in July or August.

  • The End

I still think the name is pretty lousy, but then again they’re rebranding to aim programming at metrosexual viewers. I kid you not.

  • Nancy Mahews

Well I’ll miss the G4 branding that was fun. These new shows don’t sound fun at all!

  • The Guy

OMG! I can’t live without my KNIFE FIGHT! Sounds like a real winner of a show!

    /sarcasm off

  • igwell

    I prefer soft launches.

  • Mike K

I look at is as they’re delaying because they’re re-thinking…

  • K_Will

I’m still hoping that it crashes and burns and brings along the lady that wanted it.

  • Oliver

My guess is that someone is freaking out because they have done market research and nobody has heard of The Esquire Channel (and people hate the Esquire brand).

  • Oliver

Something has to be seriously wrong for them to change their minds this late.

  • dominlc

I was upset this morning too and i dont have to watch G4 much anyway i woudrather watch some MTv and E

  • dominlc

And i rather see some classic G4 shows

  • dominlc

I would watch E for awhile

  • Ellie

I’m hoping their diabolical plan to re-brand the great G4 into lame-ass, suck-balls Esquire Network falls through
