Definitions:

DVR (Time-shifted) Adults 18-49 Ratings – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data LiveLive+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs.

Live+Same Day(Live+SD) ratings include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing.

Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

DVR Ratings Increase Past Airdate - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate

Until the 2009-2010 season, we used a show's LIVE program rating or viewership as the base upon which the LIVE+7 day DVR viewing was added. Now, the press seems to be standardizing around using LIVE+SAME DAY DVR viewing as the base for the calculations, so that's what we do now as well.

Too bad Cult doesn’t air on ABC. I’d love to see a press release touting 100% growth in DVR usage. :D

  • Antonio

That’s a good number for Revolution. It seems as though a good amount of viewers are time-shifted.

  • Alec

Surprised Revenge didn’t make the list! And worried for that matter.

  • Jenny

    Lmao @ Cult!

  • John A

Nikita doesnt make the list lol.

  • TV Freeeeek

Happy Endings gets a nice little bump!

  • S

    yeah for nashville

  • JacobYates

    @RJ
    Good one

  • Michael

Wow, Cult has a huge following with DVR!

  • Glue

    Why is TCD never there?

  • eridapo

Those Monday at 10PM shows have over 10.421M viewers and 3.1 demo gains via DVR playback combined. If it is not the most DVR hour in primetime, it surely is a close second.

  • Gina

@Alec , Revenge didnt air a new episode this week, thats why its not on this list!

  • Sam

Still great DVR ratings for Revolution, but it’s numbers were higher in the fall.

  • MichaelChickless

    The Following and Revolution! Yowza!

  • Roswell

@Glue because no one watches TCD, that’s why

  • Tommy

Body of Proof is smashing DVR ratings. 12.5 million total viewers. Thats 2 million more than scandal and about 30,000 viewers less than Grey’s. ABC would be stupid to cancel a show that can get 9 million viewers per episode. I wish the live 18-49 rating was at 2.0 instead of 1.4. Swapping Scandal & Body of Proof time slots would solve this problem. #SaveBodyofProof

  • Michael

    Tommy,

Tell that to NBC, which canceled “Harry’s Law” even though it had over 8 million viewers on a weekly base. Total viewership is meaningless, it’s all about the coveted 18-49 demo!

  • Nerdbot

    @Gina

Revenge did air a new episode on March 31. It was the last one until the show comes back next week. Having said that, I’m worried it didn’t make the list.

  • tommie

Yet again, CULT is smashing, showing The CW what mistake they made! #SaveCULT
