“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR” STARTS OFF-ROAD RACING SEASON ON SATURDAY, APRIL 20

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR starts its off-road racing series with the LUCAS OIL OFF ROAD PRO4 & PRO2 on Saturday, April 20 (1:00-2:00PM, ET; taped 3/17) from Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Ariz. Pro 4 champion Kyle LeDuc is back to continue his dominating pace from 2012. But this year, past class champion Rob MacCachren is back to show the class why he's the winningest driver in off-road history. Last year and 2011’s Pro 2 champion Brian Deegan also is back and ready to race for an unprecedented third consecutive championship in a row in the Pro2 class. Ken Stout, Cameron Steele, Rob Klepper and Erin Bates call the action for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ Ryan Galvin serves as coordinating producer.

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR looks back on the 2013 Final Four with CBS SPORTS’ 75 YEARS OF MARCH MADNESS: FINAL FOUR CONFIDENTIAL presented by Buick on Saturday, April 20 (2:00-3:00PM, ET). CBS Sports cameras go behind the scenes with Louisville, Wichita State, Michigan and Syracuse as they prepared for and played in this year’s Final Four. From practices and film sessions to the media crush of college basketball’s biggest stage, FINAL FOUR CONFIDENTIAL documents the finale of the NCAA Tournament from the inside. The one-hour special is the final installment of CBS Sports’ season-long initiative celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the NCAA Tournament. CBS Sports’ Jonathan Segal serves as coordinating producer.

 

“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR” RACES INTO SEATTLE WITH SUPERCROSS ON SUNDAY, APRIL 21

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR rolls into Seattle to continue its broadcast of the MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS, an FIM World Championship on Sunday, April 21 (1:00-2:00PM, ET; taped 4/20). Hometown hero Ryan Dungey won last weekend’s race in Minneapolis, overtaking Ryan Villopoto in one of the most exciting supercross races in recent memory. This weekend, the tables are turned, as Villopoto returns to his home state of Washington to try and widen his overall points lead over Dungey. Ralph Sheheen, Jeff Emig and Erin Bates call the action for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ Brian Seeling serves as coordinating producer.

 

“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR” HAS BULLS BUCKING ON SUNDAY, APRIL 21

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR broadcasts the 15th stop on the Pro Bull Riders series with the CATERPILLAR CLASSIC presented by Cooper Tires on Sunday, April 21 (2:00-3:00PM, ET; taped 4/20-21) from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. A special round of bull riding will take place pitting the top 15 bull riders in the world against the world’s 15 best bucking bulls. In addition to the total purse of $21,000 on the line and double the points necessary in the race to become the PBR World Champion, No. 5 PBR bull rider Douglas Duncan will have a chance at $87,000. Duncan has been matched with Circle T Ranch & Rodeo’s Asteroid, the reigning PBR World Champion Bull and the Monster Energy Money Bull for this event. If Duncan makes the eight-second whistle, he wins $87,000. Asteroid had been perfect in competition this year, bucking off seven men, including two world champions Guilherme Marchi and Mike Lee. Craig Hummer, Ty Murray and Leah Garcia call the action for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ Steve McKee serves as coordinating producer.
