    Ready For Saturdays

    Go NCIS!

I didn’t have a chance to read the latest ABC Press Release (always good for a laugh) but here is what it might state:

ABC SUPER hit DANCING WITH THE STARS quadruples in overall viewership vs NBC’s Voice fueled Ready For Love. DWTS also nearly doubled RFL in the 18-49 demo.
SPLASH easily outpaces FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen among total viewers .
BODY OF PROOF continues to beat CBS’s freshman drama Golden Boy by nearly 1 million viewers and virtually ties with the 18-49 demo.

    gb beat rfl

In addition BOP lured more women 25-56 than Golden Boy.

Yes Hell’s Kitchen! Back up above a 2.0 where you belong. This season is really good too, but FOX has got to be happy that it’s holding its own against tough competition from The Voice and usually NCIS – in retrospect, HK last night tied The Following on Monday.

    My house is divided:

Older people are in the kitchen watching DWTS, while drinking coffee.

Younger people are in the living room watching The Voice!

Firstly; Christina Millian is the most annoying thing about The voice. I miss Ashley Alsop (sic).
2ndly we know it’s you Christina! Shut it!!!

At this point, NBC should just move Ready for Love to Sundays from 7-9 p.m. and extend The Voice next week to 2 hours and then air Hannibal after it. It doesn’t make sense to just waste such a good lead-in and it doesn’t make sense to have 1 hour episode of Battle Rounds where there’s 3 full battles and 3 short clips of battles. Come May 14, just air a recap show from 8-9 p.m. and then the result show from 9-10 p.m. until AGT begins in June. Ta-dah. While there’s a bunch of idiots paid for programmation, I just did something smarter than everything they’ve scheduled this past year.

American Idol had similar problems finding a lead out program with good retention. Lots of failed attempts there, I know of two that worked very well Glee (second half of Season 1) and House did very well after Idol. Anyone remember The Finder?

  • Dan

Its the end of the season, NBC couldnt care less what they have on the air right now ending the season. They tried to capitalize on The Voice with a reality show and it failed, back to the drawing board for next season.

for missing Alison Haislip, you weren’t even close.

@Michael. Sounds like a horrible idea. They need to put a scripted show after The Voice. Because none of their dramas/comedies are above a 2.0 (besides Revolution). Big reason why people watch The Voice is because of judges. Having an annoying twitter correspondent host an hour show bringing back unfamous alumni would not do well in the ratings.

Ready For Love got the same rating as Community!

@samunto… we know its you Christina so shut it lol….

Tuesday Nights are such a bore ratings wise.. Yeah I know some shows are solid performers but without the voice it is kinda bland.. And yes I know NCIS and LA both are great in ratings and respectively so, but demo is what counts and it is quite boring.

IF CW were trying to REBRAND itself and had positive word of mouth on new shows they should definitely start on this weak filled Tuesday, not to mention Hart of Dixie needs to be moved to 9 on another night sure it has its loyal following but it doesn’t need to be a leadoff show.

Come on, NBC would be better served getting extra eyes to repeats of SVU, Chicago Fire or Grimm, shows that will actually be on air past this season, rather than on Ready for Love.

I am partially saddened dancing with the stars isn’t showing a growth spurt frostbitten by the voice. Generally hoorayed for Cbs golden boy & bummed hummock regarding body of proof pulling itself through.

I agree but would it do better than Ready for Love? Possibly.

  • v

When does NBC pull Love Show?
They really need to air Hannibal or Chicago Fire, something that has a future next year.

  • Ellen

Wow. Imagine if NBC had not been so quick to dump TNN & Go On, now they could be airing behind The Voice. Pull Ready for Love right now and air something, anything else. Maybe a repeat Hannibal at 9 and repeat CF at 10.

They traded off proven failures for potential success.

They made the right decision, even though RfL is a megabomb.
