PLEASE READ: I think the time has come to stop the name-calling and other personal attacks on our fellow posters. You can sing the praises of your favorite network, take shots at the other ones, but to attack another poster and his/her intelligence just because they disagree with you is just plain wrong. Some of you will see it my way, some will not and continue to challenge another’s intelligence and opinions with insults. There is just no need for this immature behavior.

To those being attacked or insulted, I would say just ignore the ignorant.

  • Hillbilly

    CNN still hanging in there.

  • Matthew

Wow — are those 11PM demo numbers for CNN correct?

  • Ralph Hahn

FNC continues to rule daytime and prime-time as tragic events nationwide continue to occur. MSNBC wasn’t even close in the 9PM & 10pm timeslots. Our nation is still under “Breaking News Alert.” :(

  • Chriscee

WOW…just wow…msnBS third in every time slot..

Someone please turn off the lights at msnBS…Thank you

Umm Stan T. Hate to break it to ya, maybe you failed history. The Senate passed Obama ACA with 60 votes under the process I mentioned above, because the GOP in the Senate would of played the same procedural games but didn’t have the seat or the votes at the time.

    WRONG! Can’t fix SNAF

I would tell you what to search so you could get the truth, but you wouldn’t believe it. :???:

  • Hillbilly

    CNN beat The Five.

Mikey O – when they got Clinton to go along with welfare reform and the annual budgets were balance that didnt add to the national debt.

Clinton never had a balanced budget. The debt went up every year he was in office.

  • Wayne

All you need to know. Recent study says:

    15% News
    85% Opinion (Far-Left of course)

I have a question, I keep hearing 90% of Americans supporting the President tougher gun regulations, where are they getting that number from?

The only thing I’ve saw getting 90% was background checks. I have no idea if those numbers are true. If the polling companies released them i guess they were. I saw a couple polls, but didn’t read the details. Doug Z said it was a state poll. You can’t get 90% of the people to agree if it’s night time at midnight. ;)

  • Rabbit

@Matthew Yes. That’s around the time the West Texas explosion broke the news.

  • Doug Z

If you like getting blow up.

    Posted April 18, 2013 at 1:53 PM

Obama has had a great week—he is doing what 90% of the American people want and what common sense dictates. But Chriscee, owing to her severe lack of education, doesn’t grasp this….

  • Doug Z

My writing is bad , but one can not proof read when so much unchecked , untrue statements are to be called out.

If you show your so called facts with proof , I will proof read.

    Posted April 18, 2013 at 1:51 PM

Doug–I think I may be able to get into pre-school and get you writing at a 2nd greade level…..

  • don

Matthew I turned to CNN because no other network was covering the blast last night.

  • Matthew

I see. I would have assumed Fox and MSNBC would interrupt their reruns to cover it, but apparently not?

  • moncon

I keep hearing about the 90% of Americans who support background checks, (not sure what else is in the bill that we have not been told about). And I keep hearing about how these Senators should be ashamed, (the Dems who voted against it and the Repubs who voted for it) and how dare they go against the will of 90% of Americans.

The thing is, these Senators represent their constituents in their respective states. So, if Mark Begich was getting overwhelming calls from his constituents to vote for this bill wouldn’t you think he would be voting for it. Yes he is in a Red State, but he represents everyone in his state and if the majority of people in his state are telling him to vote against the bill then that is what he should do. The same with the Republican senators who live in blue states and are hearing from their constituents. It is their job to represent the voters not vote on their ideology or their party line. And if my Senator voted one way to get my vote and then turned around and voted the other way, I would be livid. We all have the opportunity to voice our opinions to our elected officials.

So, this whole 90% of Americans notion is a little far fetched for me. And I have not read the bill, but if it is anything like the “we have to pass it to see what is in it” then maybe it is a good thing it did not pass.

  • Joe

    @Ralph Hahn

Are you serious Ralph Hahn? All you do is attack people. What a hypocrite. Why don’t you practice what you preach. If you stop lying and attacking people on here, then it would stop. I think you need to stop coming on this site.

  • Chriscee

    @ Doug

I am going to follow Ralph’s advice up top

    Ignore the ignorant trolls

Too bad there isn’t an ignore feature

  • Joe

Glad to see CNN doing well by the way. You can see independents go to CNN. A neutral network. Because Fox is for the extreme right who wishes it was 1955. And MSNBC is for the left who want lots of change, but people can’t handle too much change too quick in this country ever.

  • NY Surfer Dude

I saw plenty of coverage of coverage of the blast on FOX News.
