(WASHINGTON, D.C. — April 18, 2013) National Geographic Channel’s three-night, six-hour event of The ’80s: The Decade That Made Us proved that audiences still can’t get enough of the nonstop glamour, unchecked excess, ruthless ambition and explosive technological innovation that defined the 1980s as the miniseries event scored a .8 HH rating and a .6 P25–54 from Sunday, April 14, at 8 and 9 p.m. to Tuesday, April 16, at 9 and 10 p.m. ET/PT.
The Sunday night premiere of The ’80s: The Decade That Made Us marked the highest-rated Sunday since the premiere of Killing Lincoln on February 17, and was also the best three-night stretch for the channel since the same period.
“We first announced this project more than a year ago, and it has been an incredible journey as we gathered the biggest names in pop culture to help craft what I hope will become the defining biography of a generation,” said Howard T.
