    @ AreJae:

    NBC is a mess because it was just sold to Comcast.
    Comcast has supposedly already taken over.

    NBC has no shows that appeal to the 18-49 demo. Their 2nd highest watched show last season averaging 9 million viewers weekly and moving to different time slots, Harry’s Law was canceled, yet they renewed Smash and that will be canceled in May.

    NBC is losing 30 Rock (which could have been renewed—-Alec Baldwin said he would take a 20% salary cut for another season) and The Office. I am hoping they keep Parks & Rec, Community and The New Normal.

    As for Celebrity Apprentice—I think this is the end of it.

    Grimm is good! LOL

    NBC came in 5th for February sweeps and even the CW beat it! That is very poor.

    NBC needs to slowly rebuild, but with other cable shows really catching on (i.e., Walking Dead, etc.) network TV is changing and it will be harder for NBC and the the major 4 networks to gain ground.

    in have a question…

    i was wondering if someone could help expain why NBC does so poorly? I mean yes some of the shoes are stupid i get that but like Hannibal, thats a decent show but a 1.7? And The voice is a monster but the viewers are like 14 mil with a 5.0 and AI on ABC is a 3.4 with 13 mil? why is that?

    I don’t understand why people are saying that’s disappointing for suburgatory, it’s not, at its regular timeslot it was only down a little with not new the middle, plus lets not forget that it hit got a 1.8 last season, only down a tenth for this finale. Also only modern family, the middle, and for right now how to live with your patents rate higher on ABC, I’m really confident it will get renewed

    @Nick

    I doubt it’ll be dead for another 2 years (and then a zombie after that) but it’s a shell of its former self. A 3.4 for an Idol top 5 performance show. Wow. Still surprised even after this lousy boring season.

  • thesnowleopard

    Wow, Supernatural kept that 0.5? And that audience is more than several of the original episodes for other network shows, too. Go SPN.

    “NBC came in 5th for February sweeps and even the CW beat it! That is very poor.”

    Univision beat them, not the CW.

    SURVIVOR!!! UNBELIEVABLE,,,,STILL HAS POWER…GO MALCOLM GO!!!!

    Idol still has life in it yet, especially with the remaining five talented female contestants. :-) But it’s like the aging uber diva who is being upstaged by that new upstart young hot thing. (Sort of like Mariah vs. Shakira.)

    But one of huge reasons The Voice has overtaken Idol has to do with the producers focusing on the competitions. Idol continues to make their contestants sing songs which are at least 20 years older than the singers themselves, while the Voice judges are wise enough to pick more current songs for the contestants to perform.

    Idol ratings finally stopped the bleeding and is going back in the right direction! :)

    That Supernatural was the LARPing episode with Felicia Day? Then I’m not the least bit surprised it did so well. I’ve heard it was an awesome ep, a lot of people put it on their all-time faves list.

    Still impressive it can tie or beat repeats of Arrow and TVD and first-runs of the other CW shows.

    @Steve

    And The voice is a monster but the viewers are like 14 mil with a 5.0 and AI on ABC is a 3.4 with 13 mil? why is that?

    First of all, American Idol airs on FOX, not ABC. As for your question, it’s because The Voice skews younger.

    @Paleonut

    Wow! Way to go Supernatural! Pretty sure SPN’s rewatchability is one of the things keeping it on the air… It airs on TNT three times each weekday & routinely makes the top 100 cable show ratings list…

    That’s a great point, “Supernatural’s rewatchability.” (And also, a great word creation!) I personally wait a long time before I rewatch an episode of anything to keep them fresh, but everyone else I know who is a fan of the show likes to rewatch a lot.

    A fun note for last night – the writer of the ep live tweeted & answered questions on twitter for both coasts! I’m sure that didn’t affect the ratings, but it was very cool.

    Who wrote that ep anyway? Was it Robbie Thompson? Sounds like him. He’s a brilliant writer, right up there with Carver, Edlund, Kripke and Sera.

    good for idol!

    Of course Nashville doesn’t repeat well- it’s a serial! They tend to not do so well with repeats much like ABC other series Scandal, Once Upon A Time, Revenge etc. I don’t know why in the world they cut the episode order from 22 to 21. ABC makes the worst decisions for their series! They don’t exactly give the medicore performers any favors despite ratings increase when aired consecutively and universal acclaim!I still can’t get over the stupid Katie couric Oscar special being thrown in there when it performed badly compared to Nashville and the an episode is cut! Makes no sense!

    I’m glad AI is doing better. And younger viewers who know anything about music or have parents would know the songs! Give me a break!

    Suburgatory= Flopburgatory!

  • Jeff

    Survivor has 9.99 mil viewers

    666 upside down is 999

    Wake up, America.

  • Tony JJ

    @Bigbrotherfan

    I’m not 100% certain but I think the producers wanted one less episode I guess for storyline wise they didn’t want the extra episode. That’s the reason for most of these episode counts. Some shows specifically serial dramas don’t want the extra episodes because they have a hard enough time dragging out stories for 22 episodes let alone when networks want 2 more episodes.

  • Mark

    The last two episodes of Survivor have been FANTASTIC. Better than last season. I hope the season can continue to be great!

  • chris23

    @STEVE…. “NBC came in 5th for February sweeps and even the CW beat it! That is very poor.”

    Yes NBC did indeed come in 5th place.. NO CW was the #6 Broadcast Network… Univision the non English Network is what took 4th place beating out NBC on a weekly and obviously February Sweeps basis.

    The Day that CW beats Univision and NBC on a “weekly” or “sweeps” basis, would be a great day coming as they are trying to obviously take it away from this disaster of a network they have flushed down the toilet with some of its programming. I’m rooting for the CW to get out of the gutter and hit some 1 demos on a Monday or Tuesday night..

  • Bev

    Good to see SVU not adjusted down. I think its still the best show on NBC for repeats so its value for money and holding its own.

  • donna

    Criminal Minds should be moved to a latter time slot because of the extreme violent nature of most of the episodes. Mentalist would be a much better fit as Mentalist needs to be moved from Sunday night because of all of the sports overruns. not fair to keep any drama show at this sunday time slot because of the overruns.

  • Donna

    Criminal Minds should be moved to a later time slot due to the violent content of many of the episodes. The Mentalist may be a better fit here rather than sunday night. No decent drama show can ever survive Sunday night because of all of the sports overruns which are numerous. all reality shows would be better on Sunday night!
