I have a feeling that CBS used this week to test the two hour Thursday sitcom block they’re rumored to be considering. If so, smart move.

Also smart: bumping POI to 10 pm. It would be interesting if CBS tried this again with a new POI going against a new Scandal. If POI could manage to beat Scandal then we’d know CBS will definitely go with 4 sitcoms+POI on Thursdays next year. POI is maybe the only CBS drama that could beat Scandal on Thursdays.

CBS, don’t mess with POI, it stays where it is: 9pm ET Thur.

@RSH please let that be true. because I completely agree. The CW doesn’t need more low rated crap, regardless of how steady the ratings have been, theyre still bad. I want it to be cancelled so there are a lot of new shows that have the potential to be better.

POI is CBS’ second highest rated drama after NCIS. CBS needs something to beat Scandal so it’s either POI or one of the new dramas. Sitcoms would be good counter-programming against Grey’s as well.

CBS is thisclose to dominating on Thursdays. If they go with four sitcoms on the night and one drama, they would be absolute idiots to keep Elementary on the night over POI. Elementary is the only show losing its timeslot on Thursdays and its audience has been completely resistant to every growth opportunity CBS has thrown at it. Its core viewers will probably stick with it on another night and its safe content means it would be equally fine at either 9 or 10 pm. Meanwhile POI has performed very well this season and is arguably the most adult, complex drama CBS has and might benefit from a 10 pm slot.

Person of interest rarely beats greys anatomy and when it does it is for 0.1 or 0.2 max. so no CBS is not dominating the thursday nights, just big bang theory dominates the night and a big bang theory fueled 2 and a half men.

also dont forget POI gets a 4.0 as lead in from two and a half men and it does a 2.8-3.0 …while greys anatomy gets a 1.0-1.4 lead in the makes it a 2.8-3.1 ….

Series low for The Vampire Diaries ?

Community is a total Joke for a major network!

So crazy how all of CBS’s repeats are beating out everything else lol.

still so disappointed in Vampire Diaries ratings, its kevin williamsons fault, alot of fans are extremely disappointed in the story line, making Elena evil etc…

POI beating GA by .1 or .2 consistently is still a helluva lot better than Elementary losing to Scandal by about .5 all season.

POI has averaged 2.97 for the season so far, slightly above Grey’s 2.9. But Scandal is the weaker of the two Rimes shows (2.68) so if POI, which has been slightly beating Grey’s, can carry most of its audience an hour later it could still handily beat Scandal, unlike Elementary.

CBS could put an hour of sitcoms against Grey’s, which I assume in this case would be 2 Broke Girls/Chuck Lorre’s Moms. 2BG has averaged 3.37 so far this year, which beats Grey’s. Even if Moms turns out to be more of a Mike & Molly on the Lorre scale, rather than a BBT, it would still have a chance at beating Grey’s because M&M, CBS’ second lowest rated sitcom, still has a 2.85 average this year and that’s on a Monday night.
