Due to the nature of live programming the ratings for FOX (UFC) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

FOX was number one with adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On FOX, UFC: Henderson vs. Melendez  earned a 1.5  adults 18-49 rating down 17 percent from a 1.8 for the previous UFC on Fox on January 26.

On CBS, a special Saturday episode of Vegas scored a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating down 38 percent from a 0.8 for last week's Friday episode. The majority of you accurately predicted that it would beat Smash - though the margin of victory was a slim tenth of a ratings point.  48 Hours earned a  1.0 down 17 percent from last week's 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.

On ABC,  Bet on Your Baby earned a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating up 17 percent from a 0.6 for last week's premiere.

On NBC, Smash tied its series low with a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • The #1 Smash Hater.

    LOL @ Smash.

Go Bet On Your Baby! ;)

  • Liam

Castle repeated better than I thought.

  • jessie

Castle & Mentalist repeats beat new episodes of Vegas and Smash.

Bet on Your Baby is a beast!

  • Danak

Smash’s total viewers actually went up from last week.

  • John A

Bet on your baby? God what a stupid name.

  • Patsy

Vegas was awesome this week! Jack & Mia are so hot together! Love that storyline. Cant wait to see them get back together. Dixon & Yvonne are very interesting too! I like that pairing. This show has some great storylines! I just love the 60s.

  • Alex

I still don’t quite understand why ABC have buried Bet on Your Baby on Saturday nights. Not that I’m suggesting its a good show or anything it just seems like very odd scheduling. Surely it can’t be that bad…

  • RJ

Not a single repeat in the 8pm hour on a Saturday night.

  • Rich

IF Bet On Your Baby is renewed,ABC should pair it with America’s Funniest Home Videos either on Saturday or Sunday. Great episode last night. Good to see it doing so well.

  • Danak

Smash was so good last night. The “That’s Life” duet between Kat McPhee and Megan Hilty was terrific. It’s too bad NBC didn’t give it a Voice boost for at least a couple of weeks (ie, directly behind Voice), but they were too sure that Ready For Love would work better, which it didn’t.

  • Marc

Not sure why ABC is running Bet on Your Baby on Saturdays when there is so little new programming they could be running. It’s essentially doing what Happy Endings did on Friday nights, and Saturday is the Friday of “Fridays.” (If that makes since…?) I watched it for a few minutes and it is clearly better than Splash, not that that is saying much. I’d probably give it a shot on Tuesday or Thursday at 8PM where they can’t seem to find anything anyway.

  • David

Bet On Your Baby smashes the completion! ;)

  • pete5125

Bet on your baby isnt bad has kids say the darndest thing vibe to it…saying that i cant see it being a huge hit because the appil will always be young mothers…it was made by walmart so it cost abc next to nothing…plus what else can they do with sat at this point

  • David Howell

This isn’t the worst slot ABC have given a game show. How about Sunday afternoon in football season anyone? Well that’s what Million Dollar Mind Game got. It became a very, very nerdy cult classic.

Frankly, ABC could air that on Thursdays at 8 now and get a 1.0, I’d reckon. Seriously.

  • Sandra Oh

Smash was terrific last night. The Megan Hilty solo “Don’t Forget Me” was a showstopper and the Megan/Kat duet at the end was just breathtakingly amazing. It’s such a shame that they threw this show away for that reality dreck. It deserves better. I will be sad to see it go.

  • Olka

    OMG!
    What happened to Smash?
Looks like average the CW ratings.
    Lol

  • Oliver

If Bet On Your Baby grows just a little more then I could actually see ABC renewing it.

  • Rebecca

Really enjoyed Smash. That episode could have served as a nice series finale (I know “Hit List” hasn’t “opened” yet, but “Bombshell” wrapped up well). I’ll keep watching the rest, of course.
