The Vampire Diaries was the top broadcast show on GetGlue, and Game of Thrones was the top cable show for the week of April 15-21.  Remember: a show's social media popularity does not correlate to its renewal prospects and/or actual ratings.

Orphan Black made the cable list. That’s a really cool show. Tatiana Maslany’s acting continues to amaze.

  • Shiro

BATB in top 5? talk about most of the highest rated show being repeat this week.

  • Wright

TVD, Hannibal, SPN, OUAT and The Following. Hopefully Revolution makes the list next week.

  • Joe Smith

networks need to change the way they profit from shows

poor ratings are killing shows that probably have many more viewers than the ratings suggest

  • Claudia

Doesnt matter still on top, so how come Nikita or HOD are not on Top for the longest? Guess the Beast is really Roaringgggg despite the haters!

Why ‘Nikita’ Is Again TV’s Most Checked-In Show, Weeks Into Reruns
    :http: // adage .com /article/trending-topics/nikita-tv-s-checked-show-reruns/235477/

After its big defeat last week, the CW’s recent chart-topper “Nikita” reclaimed the No. 1 spot by a decisive margin of 60,000 check-ins. Its victory comes even though the No. 2 show by check-ins, HBO’s “True Blood,” attracted almost 4 million more actual, you know, viewers. “Nikita” has also been in reruns for weeks.

So what’s going on here? “Nikita” fans on GetGlue — who have dubbed themselves “agents” in keeping with the show’s espionage theme — are actively trying to use social media to help the show. “Nikita” hovered on the verge of cancellation before it was finally renewed for a third season in May, and in the weeks leading up to the decision many fans hoped their social push would help sway the network to keep it around. Accusations of check-in inflation now abound on the show’s message board, but nothing is stopping fans of any series from checking into it just to boost its buzz. And you might reasonably expect check-ins to wane after a show on the bubble won its renewal and started running repeats. So the improbably high social ranking for “Nikita” is still remarkable as a fan-driven effort, no matter how you slice it.

So, yes, Nikita HAS been in the top ten in the past.

Present Day…people always live in the past!!!! TVD, SPN still top trending all the time! See my point?! So your theory about what the CW is gonna do with BATB, is pointless, the show has room to grow and its proving it since its getting better and the fanbase is growing!

Anyways, maybe you leave us alone once Nikita gets its last 10 episodes for a 4th season renewal…. :)

  • Luli

I am a BATB & SPN fan both are the best fandoms… happy to see both up there. #beasties are lovers don’t respond to any kind of hate out there. We are in lovin or #beastingout mode! SPN fandom big ups woot woot!

Game of Thrones dwarfs any and all competition. Glad to see Vikings, Defiance, and Orphan Black on the list.
