Univision Ranks #1 in 10 p.m. Hour among Adults 18-34 for the Week, Driven by Debuting Novela “Que Bonito Amor”

 

Marks Twelfth Consecutive Week Network Ranks #4 or Higher Among Demo

 

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights - Week of April 15 to April 21, 2013

  • For the entire week (M-SU), Univision ranked #3 among Adults 18-34, out-delivering CBS and ABC.   This marks the twelfth consecutive week where Univision ranked #4 or higher among Adults 18-34.

 

  • Season to date among Adults 18-49, Univision increased +1% over prior year while the E-L broadcast networks decreased (FOX -22%, ABC -8%, NBC -7%, CBS -3%).  

 

  • On Monday night, Univision ranked as the #4 network among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC.   Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs for both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

 

  • On Tuesday night, Univision ranked as the #2 network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering FOX, CBS, and ABC in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for both demographics. 

 

  • On Wednesday night, Univision ranked as the #2 network among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and NBC in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for both demographics.

 

  • On Thursday night, Univision ranked as the #2 network among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC and ABC in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34; top 15 for Adults 18-49.

 

  • On Friday, programming on several networks was pre-empted for coverage of the Boston bombing and, therefore, network and program rankings are not provided for this night.

 

  • Airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday), Univision ranked #3 among Adults 18-34, out-delivering CBS and NBC.  Also, Univision ranked #4 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC.  “Sabado Gigante” averaged 2.0 Million Total Viewers 2+, 770,000 Adults 18-49, and 302,000 Adults 18-34.  Also, it ranked among the top 10 programs of the evening for each demographic.

 

  • On Sunday night, Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 20 programs for Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

 

ü  At 7 p.m., Unvision aired “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now), which averaged 1.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, 663,000 Adults 18-49, and 220,000 Adults 18-34.

 

ü  At 8 p.m., “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) averaged 2.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 Million Adults 18-49, and 543,000 Adults 18-34.

ü  Following “NBL” at 10 p.m., “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) averaged 2.5 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 Million Adults 18-49, and 518,000 Adults 18-34.

 

  • At 8 p.m., Univision’s novela “Porque El Amor Manda” (Because Love Rules) helped Univision rank as the #3 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49.  The novela averaged 3.9 Total Viewers 2+, 2.0 Million Adults 18-49, and 980,000 Adults 18-34.

 

  • Univision’s 9 p.m. novela “Amores Verdaderos” (True Love) helped Univision rank as the #2 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49.  “Amores Verdaderos” saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.6 Million, +3%), Adults 18-49 (2.5 Million, +5%), and Adults 18-34 (1.2 Million, +7%).

 

  • In its debut week, Univision’s 10 p.m. novela “Que Bonito Amor” (Beautiful Love) helped Univision rank as the #1 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49.   The novela averaged 3.5 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 Million Adults 18-49, and 808,000 Adults 18-34.
