CNN beats MSNBC in primetime and total day….. ouch thats gotta hurt. “ALL in” and “hardball” are now officially dead men walking.

  • Tama

CNN beat MSNBC in the demo except for Piers Morgan. It should be evident that he sucks.

  • Cindy

Looks like CNN is giving MSNBC a run for their money.

  • Ralph Hahn

  • Mark2

It looks like the ratings are slowly heading back towards normal levels.

By the end of the week, ratings will be back to normal…for sure by next Monday.

  • Mike

Interesting and very positive numbers for Fox. Their demo numbers for their 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. shows, respectively, beat Matthews’ combined demos for those timeslots. One wonders how MSNBC can keep Matthews on the air, especially after he made the ridiculous assertions that the right wing zealots were behind the Boston Bombing. (One would think their stockholders would demand his removal.) Hayes will never be a ‘player’ at 8 a.m. and given his musings last week about the Boston Bombing coverage was disportionate to the gun control issue perhaps explains why he will never be a player. Hannity continues to own Maddow. And, finally, Fox’s news coverage beat out all cable shows last week really suggests that the American public is turning away from DNN for the ‘late breaking’ events.

  • Ratboy

Well back to normal and MSDNC bringing in all the fine numbers……..oh wait they still got spanked pretty good! Hey Chris Hayes……YOU EMBARRESED YET?????

  • Ralph Hahn

    @Mike: I agree wholeheartedly!

    Mark 2

Ouch!!!!!! MSNBC may never recover from that punch…man that’s going to leave a Mark, Mark 2

Well if everyone loves Fox News so much, that means everyone agrees more with conservatives and Republicans. And yet they keep losing the elections. It’s a small audience that watches the news everyday compared to the actual country. And fox has old viewers, who you can count on to watch the news a lot more than younger viewers. You people say the same thing everyday of your lives. It doesn’t change the fact that Obama won the election twice and the Democrats will win again in the next election. So time to get a life Mikey boy.

Ralph. You’re beyond help. I remember you also guaranteed that Romeny would win the election. Has everyone forgotten that? Ralph has no credibility. He’s just a biased conservative who says the same thing everyday of his life. Fox winning in the ratings won’t win you elections.

Looks like all networks are still riding the Boston Bombing wave. Might take a few weeks for things to return to normal.

It was funny to see Erin Burnett all dolled-up for her Monday show knowing she’d still have a sizable audience left over from last week. It was her big chance to net some more viewers…we’ll see what happens.

House GOP concludes Hillary Clinton blew Benghazi response

House Republicans have concluded that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was responsible for cutting security at the consulate in Benghazi ahead of last year’s attack there, and that the administration lied about why it downplayed terrorism as the cause of the assault.

A new report — the result of months of investigation by five different House committees — says there was plenty of intelligence that presaged the attack, but the State Department and President Obama failed to heed the warnings or give the Defense Department the authority to respond to such an attack.

The report exonerates the Pentagon itself, saying the military did what it could to respond once the attack began, but “was hindered on account of U.S. military forces not being properly postured” beforehand.

In the most damning finding, House Republicans said Mr. Obama and his team lied about the attacks afterward, first by blaming mob violence spawned by an anti-Muslim video, and then wrongly saying it had misled the public because it was trying to protect an FBI investigation.

“This progress report reveals a fundamental lack of understanding at the highest levels of the State Department as to the dangers presented in Benghazi, Libya, as well as a concerted attempt to insulate the Department of State from blame following the terrorist attacks,” the GOP investigation concluded in its 46-page report.

The Obama administration has acknowledged providing an inaccurate explanation for the attacks early on — even though officials at the Defense Department said they knew it was a terrorist assault from the beginning.

But Mr. Obama has vehemently denied he intended to deceive the public.

Tuesday’s report comes after Republicans feared the pressure to get answers on the Benghazi attacks was dying out.

Earlier this year Senate Republicans had threatened to hold up some of Mr. Obama’s top nominees in order to extract more information about the timeline on the night of the attacks.

But over the last two months the Benghazi questions had slipped into the background amid debates over guns, immigration and the budget sequesters

The Five triples Tingles at 5pm. Tingles 106k in key demo!!!

    Keeps blaming the white guys!

  • dana

When you watch MSNBC, you actually feel the brainwashing technique trying seep into your head…til the negativity becomes depressing and boring..every show the same agenda, morning ,noon and nite..outside of Hannity, i dont get that from Fox with Greta, Sheppard, and The Five,,,even Oreilly gives credit where he can to Obama or to Dems that deserve it..

Cable news is only part of the equation (think I spelled that right). The liberal media ABC, CBS, NBC have many more viewers than Fox. Low-info voters believe they are getting news from the propaganda wing of the progressive movement. The left will have a decided edge as long as they own most of the television airwaves.

  • Borris O’Tool

“All in” with Chris Hayes is all in. It is “boooring”. If this is a cornerstone of MSNBC’s re-branding they are in deep trouble. What good is rebranding if no-one is watching??? and they are preaching to the same self aggrandizing pseudo intelectuals who revel in their “wonkishness”. At least Ed Scultz and Chris Mathews have “passion” even if they are “challenged in their cranial capacity”. What is the use of having “air time” if you cannot get your message to the Masses. Progressives espouse “Mass Democracy” but the masses are not tning in.

  • Trent

Damn…if only the American people knew all this ahead of time…they surely wouldn’t have voted for Obama again. Oh..wait..they DID know…it was brought up by Fox News (on a continuous loop) and during the debates, and the American people (most of them) STILL voted for Obama. Just like, they will STILL vote for Hilary Clinton (if she runs).

You elderly conservative commentators are the saddest sack of losers I’ve ever seen. You can whine and complain on this site until the cows come home, and you will NEVER influence anything. As I said before, the overwhelming majority of young people (like me) don’t give a rats azz what you seniors think. Y’all are on your way out. The future belongs to us (the young).

    {Unidentified Libertarian candidate} 2016!!! If not him/her, (reluctantly) Hillary Clinton 2016.

  • Chriscee

Oh my @ msnBS…how much longer before they shut off the lights?

  • Ralph Hahn

@dana: Even regular MSNBC viewers don’t trust their network for breaking news, so they either go to Fox or CNN.

MSDNC had Tom Brokaw, a one-respected newsman, on last night who said the the U.S. was responsible for the Boston bombing. Is this nation going nuts, or what?

Of the three cable news networks, FOX is the LAST to insert biased opinion when it comes to breaking news. They just follow the story and that’s that. Opinion is aired later, unless they are reading about somebody saying something stupid like Brokaw.
