“Revolution was falling long before the hiatus and actually held well through it. Regardless, it’s getting renewed and will live much longer than the last big drama to air behind The Voice, Smash.”

That’s a pretty bold prediction given their similar ratings trajectories.

Smash will have lasted 2 seasons. You’re predicting that Revolution will be renewed for a third?

ABC: Dancing With the Stars seems to have stabilized in the low 2’s. Castle growing out of its lead-in by multiple tenths is impressive, and that 2.3 ties a season high.

CBS: Rules of Engagement is likely to be cancelled at this point.

CW: Oh Sit! Who cares? 90210 is doing awful. It would have been embarrassing if Pedowitz renewed it for a final season.

FOX: It’s good that Bones is in the 2’s again. The Following made a nice recovery; maybe it can jump into the upper 2’s for its finale.

NBC: The Voice did really well again, and it’s doing noticeably better than it was last season. Revolution has lost more than half of its adults 18-49 audience from its 4.1 premiere, but it’s still certain to be renewed.

And there goes Revolution…just as predicted.

DWTS is low, but seems to have leveled off just above a 2.0.

I have to laugh at the ratings for Oh Sit! It sure must be cheap to justify bringing it back for a second season. And 90210 continues to fade, pretty unnoticed.

Nice to see Castle holding up, though some of the artificial obstacles they’re now throwing into the Caskett pairing are getting a bit tiresome.

Not that I’m going to complain *too* loudly when the Other Guy is Ioan Gruffudd.

  • forg

Very impressive for Castle. This one held up fine with the DWTS crash this year

  • The End

Personally I think the timeslot next season will determine if Revolution gets renewed for a third season. If it remains behind The Voice and retains the current audience numbers and builds on it a little I don’t see why not.

If it continues to bleed viewers but still gets renewed for a second season, but premieres badly with no The Voice support, we have our new Smash.

    CASTLE!! MOLLY QUINN!!!! :) <3

The End: “If they’re in the air, everywhere even. Why aren’t they targeting people?”

That, too, although if they’d at least suggested that, being programmable, they could avoid absorbing living entities electricity I might have cut them some slack on that. But they didn’t bother. Instead they throw in curing cancer as a side effect. LOL

But the whole notion of “absorbing electricity” probably violates a number of the laws of physics, anyway. The premise is just stupid. Not to mention the writing and directing.

And the whole suitcase nuke thing was just pathetically stupid.

Now it looks like they’re building up to a big “Civil War” battle – complete with muskets… God, this show is dumb.

    Castle at 2.3!!! Woo Hoo!

    @The End

I liked them together too. I thought it was too early to kill her character. I was pretty invested with her flashback scenes. It’s was pretty clear she’s dead but I wouldn’t be too surprised if somehow the writers were able to spin things and she made it out of the car alive.

Revolution has aired 17 episodes and is just now reaching a 2.0, I wouldn’t say that’s similar to Smash. It’s down from where it started, I suppose, but it’s still better than what any show following The Voice has done through the same point.

It’s bound to go at least half a season longer than Smash, probably more. Revolution has a shot to make it to next May, possibly longer. On a with most dramas pulling around 1.5, some below a 1.0, it’s still a strong show. The retention behind The Voice isn’t good, but what show has had good retention behind The Voice on Monday or Tuesday? Parenthood, I suppose, but Revolution’s still beating it and it’s one of NBC’s other certain renewals.

  • Wright

Damn I was really hoping Revolution wouldn’t adjust down. I wish all the Castle fans would shut up already.

  • I love TV!

90210 is lower then The L.A Complex’s numbers!! LOOOOL

  • CrimTV

Wow, i’m surprised everyone hates Revolution, I personally love the show

  • Nick

For some reason my DVR didn’t record Revolution last night. Maybe it was marked as a repeat on TV GUIDE. That’s probably why a lot of people didn’t watch it last night.

  • Mikey

It’s insane to think that in order for DWTS to match The Voice’s demo, it would need 32.13 Million viewers (based solely on math). I see The Bachelor/Bachelorette going fall/spring next year with only a winter DWTS.

  • CrimTV

Also why is everyone talking about how unrealistic the science in Revolution is, i’m sorry, I didn’t realise that Revolution was a non-fiction series… oh wait, it’s SCIENCE FICTION!

  • db

revolution, done. last week’s episode just killed the entire show. back to watching 5-0!

  • TVDude

Correction, Revolution has aired 14 episodes. I was looking at the wrong information at the time I was writing that. Still, my point stands. Even at 14 episodes, Smash was doing worse than Revolution.

  • Ateofi

Yay for Castle hitting season high. Revolution is finally getting numbers it deserves.

  • The End

    @Richard Steven Hack

Yet again I’m in agreement with you, regarding the Nanites. The show has made them out to be leeches that absorb anything electrical but has neglected to explain why, if they’re in the air why they haven’t killed everyone. Nor has the show as of Episode 14 explained why they don’t shut down the devices powered by the USB Drive pendant things. Realistically Monroe, nor anyone should be able to power anything, even with the pendants. Those things overnight killed the worlds power.

I think this is the biggest plothole of all that is used as a plot device. Pendants should not be able to power anything if our air is saturated with these electricity absorbing things.

@Now it looks like they’re building up to a big “Civil War” battle – complete with muskets… God, this show is dumb.

Correct, a them vs Monroe thing going down soon.
