    This spin implies there was no DTWS spillover at 10….

    I’ve never seen this show, but it seems like if only ABC would stop messing with their shows’ schedules they’d have some solid hit. This show has been moved around like a valet car. They’ve lost viewers to OUAT and Revenge due to similar scheduling issues.

    Splash will be cancelled, DWTS will be renewed and BOP is on the fence but what’s the harm in bringing it back.

    As ABC’s only procedural and winning the timeslot ABC should bring the drama back. Sure its up against no competition, Ready for Love and Golden Boy but that timeslot is low rated anyway. I doubt any new show can perform better.

    @ Dan- Body of proof isn’t abc’s only procedural! Castle??

    “This show has been moved around like a valet car.”

    I am not sure what you are going on about. For 3 seasons the show has aired on Tuesdays at 10pm and this season ABC has aired episodes uninterrupted week to week.

    @Danny94 – Thats true, I forget last year when it was renewed, it was mentioned as ABC’s only something. Maybe medical police procedural. Who knows? but ABC could use it especially after a season of flops and one new drama barely getting by (Nashville)

  • DenverDean

    ABC is foolish for treating BOP like this. Procedurals stablize line-ups – especially one that is filled with so many serialized dramas. Don’t get why they had it sitting on the shelf (meaning those repeats) in advance of return. It’s not like ABC doesn’t have plenty of holes to fill-in.

    ABC should be very patient with Body of Proof. Its a solid procedural and has a decent chance of becoming a long running utility player.

    Hard to imagine abc cancelling a show that is consistently winning its timeslot — especially at 10PM and on Tuesdays no less (which has been a wasteland for abc since NYPD Blue (and to a degree, Boston Legal).

    @wichitahusker

    Your post left a smile on my face. I fondly remember the days when I couldn’t wait to watch NYPD BLUE and BOSTON LEGAL . Classics indeed.

    Save BOP

    BoP adjusted up this week, which surprised me. A 1.6 at this point was unexpected.

    I suspect the show will return for another 13-episode spring season. But that will be its last given season to season drops. And it’s too far from syndication to get any help there.
