Body of Proof CERTAIN RENEWAL at that #

If Body of Proof were sitting anywhere else in ABC’s schedule with those numbers I would say cancel it, but for ABC’s struggling Tuesdays I think its doing okay. To be fair, it hasn’t faced much competition so far. But the return of Dancing has seen it rise to the mid 1s and it has been winning its timeslot in the demo. Together with Dancing With The Stars, ABC are doing much better than they have for most of the season on Tuesdays. Unless ABC are planning on a complete revamp for Tuesdays next year, I don’t see why they shouldn’t give Body of Proof another 13-episode season. (I don’t watch the show either, just an observer).

Maybe Ultima still believes Ready for Love was a hit

Very sure I never said the show was a hit.

    @RW
“Ready For Love” is already being called one of the biggest bombs on television ever. Don’t believe it, then google it.

It’s a bomb, I just don’t think that it’s anything special. 30% retention is really bad, but there’s been other shows that have also squandered massive lead-ins and countless rip-off reality failures.

Certainly it’s not a calamity even remotely on par with Smash. NBC has to be at least $50 million in the red on that.

  • Alan

    HoD could be cancelled too.

  • Mari

I’m actually happy that HOD went down so the writers will see that we do not want this crap Zoe/George thing.

  • Theoacme

@Ultima: Certainly it’s not a calamity even remotely on par with Smash. NBC has to be at least $50 million in the red on that.

Remember Mrs. Carlson’s observation made to Johnny Fever, also may be applicable to Comcast/NBC Universal/K-Mart: minuses may be pluses, if they are added correctly.

  • Alice

    Please watch hart of dixie…

  • Jon

What happened to Hart Of Dixie?

  • Jared

I LOVE HoD but this season was way too campy and there were way too many themed episodes that took away from the show growing its core characters. The Zoe/Wade relationship was shut down way too fast. Would have liked to see that explored way more than it was. I dont personally feel like HoD is in any real danger of being cancelled considering how steady its been all season long but I do predict that HoD,BatB and Nikita will be the last 3 series to get a renewal from the CW this season.

  • Jon

@Jelly86….Dances with the stars already is down in both categories, been steadily declining for 2 years, so your prediction at this point is moot

  • Jon

@barbara…..I like Golden Boy as well, but it seems that that time slot has not been kind to CBS lately, since moving the goodwife out of there it’s been 3 seasons of failure. Vegas, Golden Boy, unforgettable, the Defenders

  • Jon

@Jared…..I was kind of befuddled how they wrote Wade and Zoe off. It just doesn’t seem like he would spend the better part of a year trying to be with zoe, falling in love with her, and then blowing it on some random bar hook up. That was very poorly written, and maybe it pissed enough watchers off, that they haven’t tuned in since.

  • Sal

Cubs game in Chicago, so like another poster stated, Hart of Dixie wasn’t shown here. Do they take this into consideration when calculating the numbers? I’d think Chicagoland would be considered a large market to not take this into consideration when judging the numbers by the network .

  • Toni

    BOP now certain for renewal!

  • Michael1

    Hey,

NBC, why don’t you make a match-making show and have it hosted by someone who’s most famous for being the ex-wife of an NBA player, and then air it against the NBA play-offs? Is it possible that Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs) will be on the air longer this spring than Eva Longoria (formerly Parker)? That might be the next best poll.

  • Stuart

I do not watch Body of Proof. I do think it may be renewed though. ABC had a lot of holes to fill and problems to fix. I think it may receive a 22 episode order and fill the first cancelled show. High overall ratings at 10 are important to affiliates because they tune into the 11 o’clock news. I can’t see a show winning it’s time slot being cancelled.

  • WoWza

BOP is ABCs new Castle. This thing is Beast. ABC has a good 10 PM situation with this and nashville etc. They need something for Sunday.

  • ytr

HOD deserved it because of this ZEORGE crap… Maybe writers are going to see that people don’t want Zoe and George… But i hope that next week’s episode is going to adjust up..

  • RyanCanada

happy for BOP, I hope it gets renewed, but scary for HOD, i think they new storyline with George and Zoey is turning fans off, alone with me, havent watched it since the wade breakup,

  • Jon

I really wanted to like body of proof, but the main character, she is so unlikeable and unremarkable. Do I have to go back and watch episodes from previous seasons in order to get it, or am I just hopelessly just not going to like it.
