WOOT!! GO SPN!!! Not too shabby for a show in its 8th season.

  • Maya

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Supernatural after 8 years, still strong!

  • david

Great for Arrow and SPN last night. The reruns of Arrow on WGN America helped the show i think. I loved Felisha Daye on SPN again. Maybe they should keep this night together next year.

A man in uniform ….Hot! DEAN IN A UNIFORM….. Hotter !! Think Charlie put Tomb Raider to shame… And our poor off-balance Sam ?? Breaks our hearts and makes us want to offer comfort. Loved that Charlie’s fear in the Djinn-world was losing her Mom …..and Dean’s was losing his little brother! That brotherly love is why we’ve had so many loyal fans and gotten 9 years of this great show…..and hope to make it to 10!!!!!!!!!

  • Wright

It’s the best show on the CW!!!

  • JJA

It was Felicia Day that drew in the audience.

The episode itself was cute, but not particularly memorable.

I love this show; it’s the only show that I will drop everything to get home or make sure I have the timer ready to record. I have other shows I like, but if I miss an episode, it’s not a big deal.

  • Jared

Arrow is by far one of the best new dramas this season. Last nights episode was amazing as usual. Looking forward to see how the rest of the season plays out.

How nice to see a Supernatural headlined press release :)
Haven’t watched yet but I’m glad Charlie’s catching on and getting better ratings than before.
Hope this encourages Supernatural to create more strong female characters, and not more horrible representatives like the black dog slave or weak watery Amelia.

If Supernatural hadn’t hit 1.0 before I’d say yes, but it has. I have issues with this season, but it is doing very well in the ratings. I liked last night’s episode more than I had anticipated. OTOH, Criminal Minds was a repeat and there is probably some crossover in audience with that.

    I too loved last night’s episode .

After watching the previews I expected something totally different.

I really liked the throwbacks to previous episodes and I also think Felicia day did a wonderful job with her acting.

Most of the guest stars season have been wonderful.

The only one I have disliked is the Amelia chAracter .

It’s great to see the show doing well in ratings too.

  • Walt

Sam and Dean have Felicia Day to thank for their ratings. Felicia is AWESOME. She can save my world any day she wants . . . Sam and Dean, though, they need to retire.

  • Bettie Johnson

Not quite, Walt. Sam/Dean have F. Day AND Arrow to thank for their whole season, not just last night. Without Arrow as a lead, they’d be dead in the water, even with Felicia.

  • Paleonut

I disagree, I think Arrow is benefiting from SPN… SPN’s ratings have been steady-increasing while Arrow’s have been slightly decreasing… The most important contributor to SPN’s ratings increase is the move from Friday to Wednesday…

  • Jilly

I agree wholeheartedly with Paleonut – the move to Wednesday has been a huge boost to SPN. Initially people may have come for Arrow, but they’ve stayed for SPN. As always, some people like the season overall, some don’t. Each to their own. I for one, am pleased to see the ratings go up so substantially over the course of the season. Long may it continue

  • POIFanatic

Supernatural is one of the best shows of all-time, period. This season has been awesome so far. Glad to see it stay strong in the ratings. As always, I hate the Nielsen rating system.

  • Restless

Well, finals dropped this episodes viewer totals a bit to 2.38 million eyeballs, so now it’s the third most watched. Trial And Error remains the second most watched of the season at 2.41 million with first being What’s Up, Tiger Mommy at 2.51 million, and just for completeness fourth is A Little Slice of Kevin at 2.33 million.

Really great numbers for this episode still, being a filler fresh from a mini-break and coming after an episode that had the fourth worst ratings of the season.

Hopefully the last three episodes can keep it up and also have good of ratings. :)

As for whether the gain is all on Felicia Day, much as I’d like it to be I don’t think it’s honest to say that. Consider that her previous episode this season got a 0.9 and 2.01 million viewers, which is what the episodes on before and after it did. And her first appearance last season was also average in respect to the episodes airing around it, which was a 0.7 rating and 1.75 million viewers.

So since her previous two appearances weren’t anything special ratings wise, I’m not sure all the praise and credit should go to her this time. But since there’s nothing better to credit the gain with, whatever, I think she’s a fine actor and Charlie is a nice character, maybe Nielsen families have figured that out too :)

And as for if it’s Arrow, well hey, one thing is definitely for sure: Arrow’s a heck of a lot better lead in than Nikita. Supernatural’s basically back to season six ratings when it was airing after Smallville on Fridays.

SUPERNATURAL is never going to die.

  • Jensen’s Love

YES! Way to go Supernatural i love how even after so many seasons its still interesting unlike some shows.
