Vote In Our 4th Annual "Don't Save Their Show!" Poll

The silly season of meaningless "Save Our Show" polls from by entertainment sites (E! Online and USA Today among them) has begun!

Of course, those polls have no effect on any network decisions, but certainly give some fans the false hope that they're actually doing something to help their show.

If entertainment sites can spread false hope with their nonsense polls, maintaining the balance of the online TV universe* demands we spread false gloom with nonsense polls of our own!

In the 4th Annual** TV by the Numbers "Don't Save Their Show!" Poll you get to vote on which shows the TV networks should cancel instead of save!

There's only 22 hours in a broadcast primetime schedule (or 15, or 10), so every one of their shows that gets cancelled means more of a chance for your shows to get renewed (or so the logic of the desperate fan may suggest).

Included in the poll is every scripted broadcast primetime show (grouped by network) that either the Renew / Cancel Index or Bubble Watch has pegged as anything but renewed or cancelled already (plus the obviously canceled Smash, just for extra fun!)

Vote for as many shows as you'd like, as many times as you'd like!

I promise that the decisionmakers at the networks will give as much weight to your votes here as they do to the votes in all those silly "Save Our Show" polls: None!

*Not to mention generating traffic for us.

** Our readers picked Gossip Girl as the show they didn't want saved in last year's poll. It was ultimately renewed for a short final season, but, of course, our poll had nothing to do with it!

I needed this after seeing the stupid Save our Show vote on E online where they claim they have had a hand in saving Community, Chuck, Felicity, and One Tree Hill in the past.

  • Meliwa

@Anthony Parello–That’s funny, because USA Today and TV Guide have also claimed to have saved Community, Chuck, Felicity and One Tree Hill. LOL

  • Glue

I want Revenge, The Middle, Suburgatory, Modern Family, Once Upon A Time, How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life), The Neighbors, Malibu Country, Community, The New Normal, Parks And Recreation, The Carrie Diaries, Nikita & Hart Of Dixie Renewed. :D

  • Ryan

I voted for Nikita that stupid show should’ve been canceled a long time ago! LMAO :D

Thank You TV By The Numbers !!

…For letting people know the S.o.S. promotions is just fluff to read for fans to go to those web sites and give those sites advertising traffic.

  • Jazz

Oh, this was fun. I cancelled anything I never watched, sampled and didn’t care for, stuff that will probably be cancelled anyway and shows that I just hated seeing ads for. I should have cancelled more but there might have only been like 12 hours of programming left for the 4 networks. I kept a few that probably should be cancelled but I like them so…

I don’t watch CW so I pretty much cancelled the network. This was strangely fun. Makes me want fruity pebbles.

  • TV Viewer

Amen to Anthony Parello. E! will probably take credit for “saving” a program that was no danger of being cancelled in the first place.

I really doubt if Modern Family, Once Upon a Time, Castle, Revolution, Chicago Fire, Beauty and the Beast, and even Community, (to name just a few programs on the list), are in any real danger of not being renewed.

Other shows in the poll, (CSI:NY, Golden Boy, Vegas, and Rules of Engagement to name some obvious ones) are going to be cancelled. I doubt if any poll could save them from getting the ax.

1600 Penn & The New Normal — MUST GO! Not Funny at ALL!!

  • Anthony Parello (AP076)

The multiple voting on the E site is crazy as well. It seems lots of Beauty & the Beast, and Smash fans have little more to do than, click refresh and click again. Kind of sad.

  • Rebecca

I voted for half the list, lol.

  • SJ

I’ll never tell which shows I voted for, but it’s nice to be naughty every once in a while and “predict” cancellation for the shows you dislike even though some of them are obviously going to be renewed. ;)

    @Just Desserts

You should be banned from this website.

  • Tabitha

    I voted
    Nikita and The New Normal

  • Paul

Seriously? Who cares whether or not people want to save their shows. Why does it bother you so much? If it worked, would it throw a wrinkle in your arrogant “certain to be cancelled” formula?

  • Anthony Parello (AP076)

    I think SJ is right.

Just Desserts’ post have risen to a level where he should be banned from the site.
He is using slurs and hate speech.

  • Dario

16 NBC shows? Bit too much?

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Robert Seidman

    I agreed with SJ too…

  • Anthony Parello (AP076)

    @Dario

The poll includes “every scripted broadcast primetime show (grouped by network) that either the Renew / Cancel Index or Bubble Watch has pegged as anything but renewed or cancelled already”

Neither ABC or NBC have renewed any shows yet so their scripted shows are all basically included.

  • Alexander

Thank you for removing them comments with the words he/she used it’s just preposterous especially in this day and age…I’m gay and don’t like seeing it! People should stop with the gay hate.

  • Bob

@ Dario….proves that NBC sucks and sucks badly.
