Vote In Our 4th Annual "Don't Save Their Show!" Poll

The silly season of meaningless "Save Our Show" polls from by entertainment sites (E! Online and USA Today among them) has begun!

Of course, those polls have no effect on any network decisions, but certainly give some fans the false hope that they're actually doing something to help their show.

If entertainment sites can spread false hope with their nonsense polls, maintaining the balance of the online TV universe* demands we spread false gloom with nonsense polls of our own!

In the 4th Annual** TV by the Numbers "Don't Save Their Show!" Poll you get to vote on which shows the TV networks should cancel instead of save!

There's only 22 hours in a broadcast primetime schedule (or 15, or 10), so every one of their shows that gets cancelled means more of a chance for your shows to get renewed (or so the logic of the desperate fan may suggest).

Included in the poll is every scripted broadcast primetime show (grouped by network) that either the Renew / Cancel Index or Bubble Watch has pegged as anything but renewed or cancelled already (plus the obviously canceled Smash, just for extra fun!)

Vote for as many shows as you'd like, as many times as you'd like!

I promise that the decisionmakers at the networks will give as much weight to your votes here as they do to the votes in all those silly "Save Our Show" polls: None!

*Not to mention generating traffic for us.

** Our readers picked Gossip Girl as the show they didn't want saved in last year's poll. It was ultimately renewed for a short final season, but, of course, our poll had nothing to do with it!

Of course, the two I voted for are BATB and Revolution – the two worst shows on TV at the moment – or at least of the ones I watch. I assume there are probably worse shows around but they’d have to go some to beat these two.

    Death to BATB! :-)

Looking at the results, I’m amazed at how almost evenly distributed they are. Apparently someone hates every show there is – which I guess isn’t surprising. But I’m still surprised that some shows don’t stand out more, especially the really crap ones.

I thought The Cleveland Show was cancelled a couple days ago. Anyways I voted for CSI:NY and Golden Boy. I hate bland CBS case of the week shows that grouchy old people watch.

  • Namee

Beauty and the Beast. A pathetic show and a shame to tv. Not to mention the retarded fans, more nuts than Twilight crazies. Cancel this crap!

    @ David:

Your post about CBS viewers being grouchy old people is ridiculous. CBS is the most watched network and has the # 1 Drama and # 1 Comedy.

@“Encourage any Nielsen household member you may possibly know to WATCH IT LIVE and hope your Nielsen doppelganger is WATCHING IT LIVE ;)

    That too lol

I would have voted to cancel The CW (but that will be in the 2014-15 edition of the “Don’t Save Their Show!” poll…

…and anyone who votes for Grey’s Anatomy, Modern Family, or Grimm should have their accounts suspended for a month…

…if they voted for all three, they should be fed directly to the Cancellation Bear during the fallow summer months (August looks like the best time) :)

I have to nominate H-50, even though I watch the show myself, only because the fans tend to come across as having had far too many snacks made from the lead paint chips in theirs or their neighbors homes.

  • RandyAW

PS-yeah I know it has another season.

  • TevR

Why is Guys With Kids so high up! it was a good show that need to come back for another season :)

  • KJ Styles

Why was every ABC and NBC show included but not every show from the other networks?

  • Ynna

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! Seriously, that show does NOT need a second season. And that’s an honest opinion coming from a person who watches the show too.

    @KJ Styles
Why was every ABC and NBC show included but not every show from the other networks?

FOX and CBS had early renewals for most of their scripted shows.

  • SJ

    @KJ Styles

Because ABC and NBC haven’t renewed anything yet?

  • SJ

D’oh, Ultima beat me to it! :D

  • ann

All of my shows have either been renewed already or will be so I am not concerned this season…for a change.

  • David

Steve, I didn’t mean all CBS viewers are old, just that CBS is the only scripted programming most of them watch.

Up All Night should win this
