Although poisoning the well is an effective way to try and impact opinions through appeal to emotion, is mentioning Sanger’s views suppose to effect views in general on the Planned Parenthood program? Just curious.

Nah, it’s just more guilt by association nonsense. “Right to Work” also has racist roots, but Vance Muse should be no more relevant in a modern policy discussion than Margaret Sanger. Institutions and policies should be judged for what they are, not what they were.

  • Faith3

Yes, guilt by association makes perfect sense if it is believed that all people who use or agree with the program are racist etc….which is quite interesting saying many on this very site often cry out about such hasty generalization especially when it comes to “racism”. Should I be surprised?

  • Bobbyv

    Matthew/Faith,

Agree with your point, and also agree the R word is thrown around much too often.

  • d.d.

Faith3 & I had a previous discussion where she disagreed with much I had posted on Margaret Sanger’s biases. I started going to the library to read as much as I could on the subject, because most sources aren’t original . Thankfully, microfiche is now giving way to digital .

I have followed the whole trial of Kermit Gosnell, difficult at first, because the early reporting was scant (except in 2011 when the grand jury issued an indictment)

The reason I brought this up again, is, that it is relevant.

Peter Singer’s Bold Defense of Infant icide

In 1993, ethicist Peter Singer shocked many Americans by suggesting that no newborn should be considered a person until 30 days after birth and that the attending physician should kill some disabled babies on the spot … Singer has written “ “the life of a newborn is of less value than the life of a pig, a dog, or a chimpanzee.”

and he is at it again

Princeton Professor Seeks To Grant “Non-Human” Animals Personhood…

Yale University is organizing a conference on “Personhood Beyond the Human” for December 6-8, 2013. It will feature, among other proponents of personhood rights for animals, notorious infant icide and best iality-promoting ethicist Peter Singer.

Think what you wish, it doesn’t change the facts.

As far as PP , I’ve changed from Pro Choice to Pro Life so I have bias in this area, but, I am not a racist.

This is an extremely well done story by ‘The Atlantic.’

Why Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s Trial Should Be a Front-Page Story

The dead babies. The exploited women. The racism. The numerous governmental failures. It is thoroughly newsworthy.

  • Hillbilly

Nobama is the one who rejected a plan to replace sequestration. Now he wants one.

    ——————————————-

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama chided Republicans on Saturday for approving a plan to ease air-traffic delays caused by federal spending cuts while leaving budget cuts that affect children and the elderly untouched.

  • Hillbilly

Same subject different source. Nobama wants a plan with tax increases & “RIG.” No details were given. I’ll bet it was heavy on the tax increases side.

    ——————————————–

Republicans have rejected Obama’s proposal to replace the spending reductions with a mix of spending cuts and tax increases.

  • Hillbilly

It’s about time they level the playing field. I don’t have enough ammo for my AK-47 to over throw the govt. :)

    ————————————

Republicans in the Senate and House are expected to introduce a joint bill Friday that would limit the amount of ammunition that federal agencies are allowed to buy and stockpile over the next six months, the Washington Free Beacon reports.

  • Hillbilly

PWAK Jeff – You are entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts.

    ————————————

Lets make a bet. Not that one of us will leave or money (unless you want that to be the bet) a bet like i had with Gabriel. If i win you have to give 10 reasons why the GOP is better than the DNC. You will say, well i can because they aren’t. I lost to Gabriel & had to post 10 things good about Nobama. I had to make things up (he’s the best looking POTUS ever) to do the list.

I’ll prove that some in the MSM paid for the recount & Bush won, with MSM sources & video evidence. If i can’t I’ll post 10 reasons why the DNC is better than the GOP. To avoid you saying “i don’t believe your sources/evidence,” we both pick one person to be a judge & they agree on a third person. Then let those 3 decide the outcome.

Wanna bet? Or do you want to continue to post lies & scared to back them up? Come on PWAK Jeff step up to the big boys room.

  • Bobbyv

    d.d.,

I am not surprised the trial has not gotten an overt amount of attention. I do not think the reason is racial, I think it is more that people think it will hurt the pro-choice side in the court of public opinion.

  • Faith3

There you go again, “The reason I brought this up again, is, that it is relevant” followed with talk about Peter Singer and his philosophy about babies and then add the cherry on top-Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s- when Sanger was a proponent for birth control not a proponent on ab*rti*n.

No surprise here, after the massive Asian cooling all winter long. A short review follows:

    Europe as well.

There is a theory that our cold winter/spring is because of a missing ice cube last August.

But look at the GISS temperature maps, and the Arctic in our neck of the woods has been up to 8C colder than normal. That’s where we have got our weather from, and that is why it has been so friggin cold!

    @Ratboy

    You’ll love this story

    Hello everybody

*Second Coldest Start To Spring In US History

And the NWS will put out a study next week that says 6 out of the next ten years could average below normal and the ice shield may recover 40% of coverage.

Back to the garden, thanks to my little greenhouse we are already picking green and red peppers.

    Peace

Didn’t aim to steal your post man, sorry. I’ll send you a check Monday :-)

Ab#rti#n is the holy grail of the far left. They worship it and pray at the alter of it.

Maddow, Jane Walsh, Pelosi, Obama believe in near infanticide. I am not singling them out they are the norm on the far left. Most of the corrupt, secular, left wing, so-called objective media feel the same way. That is why they do not want to cover Gosnell. Another case of them not wanting the masses to hear about an issue the left believes in, in a bad light.

Rubio Touts Talk with ICE Official Which Spurred No Changes to Immigration Bill
Rubio informed his viewers that while he did meet with officials, including ICE agents’ union president Chris Crane, it was for only over one hour the night before the group introduced the legislation.

Crane bitterly concluded, “They dropped it anyway. This bill will put the public safety at risk without doubt. It fails on interior enforcement. It’s amnesty first, enforcement perhaps never.”

After the press conference, according to The Daily Caller, Crane showed up at the press conference at which the Gang of Eight introduced their bill. He asked the senators if they would take a question from law enforcement. Instead of taking the question, Rubio and the other Gang of Eight senators watched idly and allowed Capitol Hill police to peacefully escort Crane from the press conference. No law enforcement figures publicly endorsed the Gang of Eight bill at that event.

Gosh! Amongst? I remember my English teacher telling us that the two were interchangeable, i.e., among vis-à-vis amongst; however, if you’re writing a fantasy story, or a piece of fiction, you might want:
    • “As the Democratic Party readies itself to be the class of all in 2014 amongst the political left…” You get the drift.

  • Doug Z

America…really…Rubio…is nothing more than…and achieves to be…an establishment ‘fence sitter’…like his idols…the Scum of Seven!

The reason he talks so fast…like a snake oil salesman…is to confuse you as to what he is really saying….much like the Chameleon N’ Chief…who changes his colors according to whom he is speaking!

NO RUBIO FOR ME…I HAVE HAD ENOUGH RUBIO FOR A LIFETIME!

    REPUGLICANS…PARTY OF CONCESSION AND RUBIO
    DEMOCRATZI…PARTY OF RECESSION AND RUBIO

GIVE ME A PARTY OF MEN/WOMEN WHO STAND WITH ME AND MY FAMILY IN WORKING TO PROTECT OUR NATION…IT’S SOVEREIGNTY AND IT’S CONSTITUTION…THE PARTISAN PARTY!

IF THEY BUILD IT…WE WILL COME AND JOIN IT!

  • Sicilian Papa

As for Sanger I just find it to be an interesting story. I never knew about her racist views and I have seen reporting on her in the corrupt media. They never mentioned the racial cleansing angle.

  • faith3

Racial cleansing-Oh brother, talk about a leap.
