Yay for Scandal! THAT’S ALL I WANTED TO SAY!!! Last Night show was Freaking amazing! They have to be one of the few shows that do great after a 3 week hiatus.
Greys was great to especially the end with Chandra. I’m just glad that Thursday’s belong to ABC!

  • glover

Very impressive for Scandal. The show continues to rise. As a fan I never believed that would happen.

I wish Max was still here. He predicted all that and deserve to be here celebrating with us.

I hope these ratings make more people to tune in and watch this amazing show. Scandal is the best drama on broadcast television right now. That’s why it’s rising so much and so fast. Also Kerry Washington is gorgeous.

Revenge fans: Stop hating Scandal, please. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch a incredible show like this just because Revenge don’t get the same ratings or have the same ratings.

    -or have the same *quality*.-

  • Beauty and the flop

I knew tvd would adjust up! Batb flop lmao, what pathetic performance, but I’m glad the cw was dumb to renew it so we can all watch it fall to Cult numbers and get pulled from schedule even before they cancel it.

@Freddy Arrow: “The implied message here is that Hannibal is rather well sampled and liked by non-Nielsen households. Do you have any reasonable reason to believe this?”

I imply no such thing: the networks don’t care what non-Nielsen households like or dislike, so why should I? Whether 1% of non-Nielsen households love a show or 99% of them do, the results are exactly the same: no one cares.

What I was implying (well, directly saying) was that *I* like the show, but that it has many qualities which Nielsen families dislike. That’s all. ;)

Thank god TVD adjusted up! I hope TVD won’t hit anything below a 1.0 this season. BTW BatB and HoD was just renewed so that means TCD is gone.

Impressive for Scandal beating Grey’s Anatomy for the first time. This show is now officially a hit!

  • Ram510

So proud of Scandal as if its my own show! I can only imagine season 3 will grow even bigger!

Decent number of viewers watching the Draft last night , ESPN had a demo of 2.9 last night at 8 EST.

    @Joseph A
Decent number of viewers watching the Draft last night , ESPN had a demo of 2.9 last night at 8 EST.

That’s understating it a bit. ESPN and NFLN combined for an average 3.6 rating for duration of the draft coverage (8:00-11:47pm ET).

    Half hours

    Greys – 8.00pm – 2.5
    Greys – 8.30pm – 2.8
    Scandal – 9.00pm – 2.8
    Scandal – 9.30pm – 2.7

Congratulations to Scandal and everything, but it wouldn’t have the 2.8 without Greys. Greys rose by three tenths during the episode. Scandal was fortunate to have it as a lead in, and then dropped a tenth.

Next week, Greys will be back on top. Plain and simple.

@RSH – They better hope that women are going to turn out in droves for The Originals because the idea that men who do not already watch VD are going to suddenly rush to The Originals is absurd, It won’t matter if it is more action oriented and darker or not. It will be tagged as a sequel to VD and that will turn off a lot of potential male viewers whether it should or not. If the Originals fails next year, expect to see them move VD back an hour and try to premiere something before it instead.

WOW at Scandal. It performed great. And ouch for entire CBS line up! I am really worried about upcoming monday ratings.

“I hope these ratings make more people to tune in and watch this amazing show.”
The vast, vast majority of people don’t care about ratings. I don’t see the average person going, “Oh, Scandal got a 2.8. Clearly I should watch it.”

“Scandal is the best drama on broadcast television right now. That’s why it’s rising so much and so fast.”
By that logic, BBT is the best broadcast show, and Duck Dynasty is amazing.

“Don’t miss the opportunity to watch a incredible show like this.” – Plenty of people have watched this show and not found it incredible. Personally I find it not bad, but it’s only been great in the episodes heavy on Olivia flashbacks. Otherwise, it’s very much a Shonda Rimes soap opera with heavily dubious ideas about what romance and friendship should look like.

  • ldan

Why is Hannibal so low. It’s a great show. :(

  • Paul

Let me remind you that these are the ratings of season 9 of Grey’s! You wished Scandal really beat Grey’s but that won’t happen.

  • Robb

I have officially removed Hannibal from my DVR record list and deleted the 4 episodes…I normally wait 4-5 episodes into a new show to see how the reviews and ratings go before I devote my time into it…

The ratings and numbers keep going lower and I suspect this show will not make it and if it somehow survives, good luck…

  • omabin

    @Jeff,

I love Scandal but it is not possible for Scandal to beat Grey’s average this season. Grey’s currently has a 3.10 average and Scandal has a 2.4 average (its weak fall brings it down). With only 3 episodes left for each, this is unlike to change significantly and almost mathematically impossible to be reverted.

  • bluejays

good lord but Scandal is huge for a ten pm show! a real sleeper, word of mouth hit. Shocked it beat Greys. Greys still smashes POI though.

Lows for POI and Elementary and 2.5 Men continuing CBS woes.

  • nola

They renovated B & B with 0.5 / 1 and 1; 24 viewers? B & B was a FLOP!: Show boring and ugly with mediocre actors (two pieces of wood). The CW Network will not have a long life because unable to renew.

  • Antonio

    Impressive for Scandal.

Now let’s hope that keeps happening so ABC feels safe to end Grey’s Anatomy next season, as they should do that while the show can still go on a high note.
