Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @Sara Bibel

Bet on Your Baby earned a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating down 14 percent from a 0.7 last week.

Bet on Your Baby had a 0.6 last week in the final ratings.

Thanks Melissa. FYI, Over the Hedge and The Voice really did tie in Total Viewers. That’s not a typo!

  • outlawz

    mayweather didnt draw

  • Ashley

Bet on your Baby did better than Smash??? Holy cow that’s bad!

  • WHugoP

Smash had a 0.4??? That’s lower than Beauty and the Beast, almost lower than Hart of Dixie. Smash gets Smashed =/

  • JJ

@WHugoP – well it’s on Saturday. Not exactly a prime spot.

They’re moving the finale to Sunday (what, the 4th timeslot move?) so hopefully it will rise a little with that. I enjoyed last nights episode.

  • John A

What a deadzone of a night.

  • Brian

So much for all the SMASH support trying to save the show..why do they bother when they aren’t even watching!

  • Billy

    Smash is done.

  • erwanfromfrance

@Melissa, where did you found them ? I never can find saturday’s finals ratings !

  • Joseph

In most major markets, local baseball won the night.

  • Joseph

According to Box Office Mojo.com, the nation’s movie theatres earned almost 20% less at the box office this weekend (April 26th-28th) than last year on the comparable weekend, and also about 10% less than last weekend.

Thus, you can’t blame last night’s (April 27th) low prime-time TV ratings on the movies. But as I noted above, you can probably blame it on local baseball telecasts.

  • Joseph

I meant to write that Box Office Mojo.com reports that the nation’s movie theatres earned 19% less at the box office this weekend than last weekend, and not 10% less.

  • AniMatsuri

Why would NBC want to move a canceled and tanking show’s finale to Sunday where it won’t even be able to blame it’s ratings on a bad day? If the ratings rise more than a tenth or 2, I’m sure just about everyone here will be surprised.

  • James C.

Smash is obviously canceled, and sensibly so, but the overnight numbers don’t reflect its viewership. Smash has among the highest improvements in Live+7 ratings, and it’s the #1 most popular show right now on Hulu, people just aren’t watching it live, likely because of the Saturday graveyard timeslot. The ratings still aren’t worth the high expense of the show, but it has a larger audience than these figures would indicate.

  • AniMatsuri

I’m always suspicious of ranking on Hulu since they never show how many views a show got to be in the top spot and how do we know it isn’t just a few people watching it over and over again?

  • Anthony Parello (AP076)

“They’re moving the finale to Sunday (what, the 4th timeslot move?) so hopefully it will rise a little with that.”

Don’t hold your breath it is Memorial Day weekend.

Melissa, where did you found them ? I never can find saturday’s finals ratings !

They’re posted every Wednesday on Spotted Ratings (spottedratings.com/search/label/sr%20saturday).

There was a UFC pay-per-view event last night plus NBA Playoffs, but I think it was just a lazy Saturday for TV and movies. The box office was going to be bad this weekend because the summer movie season begins next week with the release of Iron Man 3.

  • Colin

I thought Smash goes back to 9pm Sat? Or was that for next week?
