Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

OUAT may not be at its magical best this season. However some eps and characters have been stellar. The introduction of HOOK and his storyline was one of the few bright spots. Cora’s character was enhanced earlier this season. Regina and Rumple continue to overshadow most of the other characters.
If OUAT would simply focus on what works, the show can enjoy greatness again. The potential is there.

Theres nothing AMAZING about a race where everyone has to stop to let the others catch up. Its feces for brains tv

I was a huge fan of Desperate Housewives. It had more appeal to me over Revenge. Although I do enjoy Revenge as well.
DH seemed to be more creative because it deftly combined comedy with the soapy drama.
I don’t think Revenge will ever enjoy the kind of success DH had, but I’ll keep watching, hoping for better. The last several new eps of Revenge have been encouraging.

    @ Jon

For it’s last few episodes of last season, Revenge was getting low 2s in the demo, and with the 10pm hour being down I really don’t think it would have been getting 2.5s and above consistently.

  • D Diva

I’m pretty confident that ABC will renew Revenge & OUAT.

No need to stress, but they could have done better.

haha NASHVILLE REPEAT beat a new RED FLOPOW haha

OUAT can’t kill off Regina….their story for her is basically about if she can change into a good person or not (her new revenge vendetta against Snow for killing her mom notwithstanding), and whether it’ll happen or be on-again-off-again it’ll be there as an arc. The flashbacks with her and Snow last night show that she can MAYBE change (it looked like it up until the point where Snow saw the slaughtered villagers). Anyway, with Parilla and Carlyle being the best actors on the show OUAT won’t lose either of them any time soon even if their story lines suck for a while (I sense some kind of redemption thing coming for Mr. Gold and/or Regina even if it doesn’t happen until season 3 – the “being bad for Lacey” thing can’t last long). And it’s not about Regina being adored…she’s just good at being bad (and half good sometimes). I’m in it for the long run. But still…come on ABC and renew this thing. The third season could tank (or end for good), but give it a chance first.

I wonder what the world-wide ratings are for The Amazing Race. It is broadcast in Canada and online. I see TAR had the evenings second highest ratings. I also watched a bit of Apprentice and the mechanical dog skit.

  • diana

I want to see what the Hook’s fans say about Hook increase the ratings… Hook back last night and did not increase anything…
I just feel sorry for Ginny Goodwin and Lana parrilla, which when sharing scenes together are fabulous. Two great talents that does miss the wonderful season 1

Regina has quite a cult following on Twitter/Facebook lol

The Amazing Race wikipedia page often is updated with the Canadian ratings. It does very well in Canada.

I don’t know about worldwide numbers, I do know that the show often does get picked up by random asian countries. And airs in Australia but that’s just about it.

  • Fred

I would be every $$ I have (granted not much) that ABC will renew both OUAT and REVENGE for a third season.

CBS should open another hour of comedy on Sunday – it’s the best night for them to try this move, especially with the NFL overuns.

    7:00 60 Minutes
8:00 Two And A Half Men (New Night/Time)
8:30 New Greg Garcia multi-camera comedy
    9:00 Beverly Hills Cops (New)
10:00 Good Wife – New Time (Final Season)

I would replace Two And A Half Men with Mom on Thursdays and replace Rules with Friends With Better Lives on Monday. That would give CBS 8 comedies on their schedule for the fall. I would also have atleast two comedy back-ups.

NBC is fine on Sunday during the first half of the season with Football. They have to worry about the second half (spring) when football is over.

ABC will cancel Red Widow and will definitely move Revenge to a new night or at 10:00 pm. I would keep Videos at 7:00 and Once at 8:00 and add a new drama at 9:00.

FOX can stay with thier tired and horrible animation.

The sad thing is if ABC didn’t have Red Widow at 10:00, and had a show stabilize at the mid 1 level it would win Sunday Nights with its current lineup.

Sunday nights have become dismal. Almost as if it is the new “Friday” in terms of Broadcast ratings (YES I KNOW TWD AND BIBLE HIT HIGHS BUT THATS CABLE) and have yet to rebound without Football and Fall ratings of other shows that have dropped full ratings points a la Revenge, Once Upon a Time, Fox lineup without its football lineup as well.

For Fox outside of the Cleveland show it does solid for animation. With football they exceed expectations and hit highs twice the ratings they get now.

ABC the debate of horrible scheduling… Well I don’t blame a “break” for Revenge and Once Upon A Time ratings downfall. However I do blame ABC for stupidly airing these shows brand new against Grammys, Golden Globes, and Championship Football games that are prominently known for getting way above average ratings.. And before anyone says I doubt Revenge or ONCE share ratings with football, I watch football and like both shows. So with this said Horrible Scheduling led to Horrible ratings, but eventually these shows would’ve respectively rebounded. Maybe not to their respective peaks in the fall season, but higher than each show is rating currently.

NBC just trying to stay in the game with Apprentice which has pulling a loyal mid 1 all season.

CBS well they pull the viewers, that’s for sure but demos are low but still keep them in contention since Sunday Nights are almost the new Friday as of late. I just find it so weird when Mentalist was 10 show on Thursday Nights it almost pulled twice the demo at times and now it does horrible in comparison. I always thought CBS should’ve put Mentalist at 9 and Good Wife at 10. I’m curious to see their scheduling, as well as all the networks for the 2013-14 TV Season.

Don’t you guys read Donald Trump’s Twitter? The Apprentice was number 1 in all demos last night!

See, I disagree. I mentioned Sylar because he is a classic case of the writers catering *too* much to one popular baddie. And look how that worked for Heroes.

The thing is that they can only yo-yo with Regina so much before fans get cynical about it. And if they grow her, not only is there a risk they’ll lose the fans who like her one-dimensionally evil, but they will have to find other, more evil villains. They did a pretty good job with that in Cora. Not so sure with this current pair. But so far, they keep waffling by hinting that Regina could change without giving her any actual self-awareness or true remorse.

Rump, on the other hand, is interesting precisely because he does grow, while, at the same time, struggles with his old inclinations. Just because someone changes and grows for the better, doesn’t mean that person might not struggle or have lapses. But right now, Regina’s not struggling or having lapses; she’s just plain in self-absorbed denial. That’s not much fun to watch. Neither is the way the writers hobble all the good guys lest they overshadow her. Uh-uh. Make it a fair fight. That’s far more dramatically interesting.

    @The End
Surely, you have been on here long enough to know how little bearing social media has on ratings.

  • Twinn

Desperate Housewives didn’t have a big problem fighting off specials. OUAT and Revenge are typical high-concept shows that flopped as long-term series.

  • Twinn

Heroes problems were much bigger than Sylar.

  • Fred

Wonder what was a bigger shock for ABC this season.

OUAT/REVENGE deep ratings decline or SCANDAL’s steep rise?

  • Twinn

@MS, Trump was #1 in the 10pm hour.
