CBS announced today that Two and a Half Men has been renewed for the 2013-2014 broadcast season.

The renewal comes after new agreements were reached for next season with series producer Warner Bros. Television as well as cast members Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer. Producers are in discussions with Angus T. Jones about a recurring role next season while he is attending college.

Currently in its 10th season, Two and a Half Men has improved its new Thursday (8:30-9:00 PM) time period by +30% in viewers (13.79m), by +21% in adults 18-49 (4.1/12) and by +22% in adults 25-54 (5.5/14).

Among all primetime comedies, Two and a Half Men ranks second in viewers and third among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

TWO AND A HALF MEN is CBS's fifth comedy and 19th series to be renewed for next season, joining previously announced comedies How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, MIKE & MOLLY and The Big Bang Theory.

TWO AND A HALF MEN is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc., and The Tannenbaum Company in association with Warner Bros. Television. Chuck Lorre, Jim Patterson, Don Reo and Eddie Gorodetsky are executive producers.

CBS has renewed Two and a Half Men for an 11th Season. According to reports, stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer have closed new one-year deals to return, but Angus T. Jones has not.

A good day for renewals. Now for ABC…

  • Charmed

Looks like it will be 2.0 men now :(

  • merrranga

oh you missed a big oppotunity here TVBTN!

HEADLINE: Ungrateful twerp gets ousted from show; career.

  • Renz

    No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • KT

Still no Criminal Minds renewal. Making me nervous… :/

  • merrranga

    @charmed

no, its 1.5 men now. Jon Cryer’s character was always the half. lol.

  • Restless

    Yay! :D
Although sad about Mr. Jones, they were starting to give Jake a personality again.
Hope we’ll see more Berta, Rose, Evelyn and Herb in the new episodes.

  • karin

CBS needs young viewers, every year same shows

  • chris

I dont care what anyone else says, I’m glad!

  • William Haney

I have an idea, The “half men” could be a long lost child from the late Charlie or for that Alan’s past comes to roost. Just an idea. The show just gives me a negative feel but I still watch hoping it turns for the more positive. I would have gone another direction for the main characters. Bumbling still but you would feel more assured at the end of the episode. Especially Alan and Jake.

  • Connman

    But what about Vegas??? ;)

  • JOE

They need the kid in the show…with Charlie gone the show lost a lot…the kid is IMO a very necessary part of the show now. Without him the title doesn’t even make sense anymore.

Ashton in this show isn’t funny on his own. Cryer and the cast are good but the way they wrote Walden in (like a younger version of Cryer) makes the show feel almost neutered. Two Alan’s don’t make a Charlie (or in this case even the kid).

  • a p garcia

It was funnier when Charlie Scheen was around.

  • DenverDean

Clearly CBS/WB figured out who are the two most important characters to the show. Plenty of other options for 1/2 part as @William Haney suggests.

  • JJF

CM has more cast members up for contract renewals. I think it’ll most likely be renewed once they iron out those deals.

  • chris23

Not Surprised by this at all. I wonder if this show will go back to Mondays to help a new show get better ratings behind Big Bang Theory on Thursday Nights at 8:30?

  • Petar Ivanov

TBBT save this show. But 700 000 per episode for Kutcher is still big time mistake. As i write in deadline now TBBT stars can ask for more than a 1 000 000 000 $ per episode. Their show is true hit and they are true stars. Kutcher shold give some of his money to TBBT stars.

  • forg

A night after it hit a series low, it got renewed :D But of course if your series low is 2.8 after 10 years on air, not bad ;)

  • Petar Ivanov

    @chris23
TAHM till the end of its run will be after TBBT now. Without TBBT will drop like hell. Even with best lead out in TV is droping season to season imagine what will be without it. And is too expensive now.
