    I stopped caring about “fake” ratings along time ago. Its time Nielson step out of the dark ages and into the 21st century! Plus seeing people hate on a show they don’t like makes me laugh and wonder what kind of life they lead at the same time.

  • Robert

    What H50 should do, for an entire season, is remake some of the old show’s best episodes. I can’t believe how BAD the writing is on this new H50. And they totally messed up WOFAT from the very start? You mean to tell me that he couldn’t find his way off that island after all this time? They turned WOFAT into a glorified illegal alien. Classic WOFAT was a world player, who dabbled in plots to steal atomic weapons and things like that. The new WOFAT is just an idiot which makes sense because I still believe that he and McGarrett are half-brothers.

    NBC is gonna regret renewing Revolution.

    @alex @ultima

    thanks for clearing all that up..?
    Doesn’t change the fact that a 4 month hiatus for a serialized genre show in it’s first season isn’t the best plan if you’re trying to help it’s ratings stabilize.

    Again, not defending Revolution’s bad ratings. It’s clear why it’s tanking, the plot isn’t going anywhere thanks to mediocre writing. But a 4 month break wasn’t the best business idea.

    Out of curiosity, how are the ratings fake?

    why do all the people on revolution look like they just came out of a beauty salon or spa, glad they still think makeup is so important when you have no electricity, and do they have slaves that blow dry their hair with their mouths and do they put hot metal rods in the fire so they can use curling irons, dont understand anyone watching braodcast tv drivel anymore when all the best shows are on premium channels and cable!!!!!

    Help me understand, all this yaying over Castle at a 2.0 really after a 13.5 million lead in. They have already had 6 eps under 2.0 this season with reduced network competition at 10pm . Again why is this a yay?

  • Jess

    @Linda: Your logic is seriously flawed. First of all, if you’re going to talk about the 18-49 demo numbers, then don’t bring total viewership into the equation. They are two completely separate pieces of data from which the correlation, at most, relates to the age in which the viewership skews. If you’re going to talk about lead-ins, then you should look at the 2.1 demo that DWTS got versus the 2.0 that Castle got. In which case, Castle did well. I’m not saying that a 2.0 is anything amazing, but it is solid and enough to top the 10pm hour.

    As for your argument about reduced network competition, it simply ignores the facts. Castle did indeed drop several times below 2.0 earlier in the season, but this was when Revolution was pulling in high 2s, low 3s in the demo. Therefore, the drop came when there was STRONGER network competition, not reduced competition. However, since spring, Castle has been performing very well at the hour and it has now also beat out originals of both Revolution and H5O. Again, a 2.0 isn’t the number of a mega-hit, but it’s holding its solid against what was once strong competition.

    (I’m not even taking into account the fact that this past Monday’s episode of Castle was preempted in Boston which likely attributed to a lower demo than it could have gotten.)

  • Mia

    @Linda

    Because Castle is on ABC, that is the Number 4 network, so a 2 demo is a “yay”….. ..Instead H50 is on CBS that is the Number one network, so a 1.7 is a dreadful result….Revolution is on NBC , so the demo result is still a “yay” for NBC.
    Same thing as the CW, in which a show with a 1.1 demo is a megahit,
    Different networks , different expectations. And I am not even considering the costs of each show, I consider Castle a cheaper show than h50 and Revolution.

    Please help me out with this since you’re an expert. On shows set in medieval settings, how come every lady who gets naked doesn’t have an inch of hair on their bodies except for one strip? You think those times had perfectly manicured women (of all classes)? Hypocrite much!
