Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Yay for Hawaii Five-Flop

  • Rachor Samien

H50 is moving to friday; no doubt. Rules of Engagement is terrible also. It should cancel.

  • Ultima

    @Mark
Revolution will adjust down a bit.

Hawaii 5-0 is definitely getting shipped to friday with those numbers.

  • Max Vrany

Oh Sit! beat the (vastly) more expensive 90210. There’s economics for you!

  • JAA

@ateofi, did you miss the part Castle was preempted in Boston

Eirther that or CBS will have to strengthen monday line up to have better numbers for 10 pm for any show that will air at this slot.

  • Illinois

Poor CBS ! Monday has to change next season.

  • samurai99

    @atefoi

Maybe they should start airing their drama’s on Monday like Fox.

  • senor chang

Honestly, at this point is it safe to say that Chicago Fire is NBC’s real success story from this season? The 1.7 Revolution got in the 10:30 half hour is the same number CF’s been pulling all season in far more modest circumstances. Both shows should do well enough in season two, though–low 2s/high 1s seem like where Revolution will stabilize. At that level, it’s still very much a player for NBC.

It’s amazing just how much the CBS Monday block has crumbled without TaaHM.

Solid for the FOX dramas, and an acceptable night for ABC.

  • TheFrenchGuy

I hope The Voice falls tonight !

I read about this after I wrote my post. So Castle will probably be adjusted down just like Revolution. That means all shows may fall below 2.0 in the finals.

  • MichaelChickless

    Go Bones! Go The Following!

The Foolowing hit my predicted rating, but Revolution fell a couple tenths short of my prognostication.

  • eridapo

Wow at The following – nice numbers for the finale. 10 pm shows really look bad. Castle did win the night but it was down by 0.3 from last week. Revolution is continuously going down and will probably be adjusted down. H50 has unfortunately season and series low. It’s shame because it was one of the better episodes of the season.

Castle was not shown in the Boston area… The ABC affiliate decided to preempt the episode and ran a season 2 episode starting Boston native Tom Bergeron

  • Kd

Well decent ratings for castle which was preempted from boston…loved the episode regardless..<3 <3

  • Rebecca

Haven’t watched Rules yet but HIMYM was one of the better episodes of the season last night. Castle is also highly entertaining – I still have 18 minutes left of it on hulu but it’s fun seeing all those old scenes in flashbacks….I’ve seen every episode but I forgot about a lot of those moments. I’ll watch RVN later.

  • sally

I watch The Following and HAWAII 50,last H50 had some dingbat alica someone in it who was terrible.i do like the show because I love Hawaii

  • Rida

    Good for the Following.
I have a question, the fact that Castle was pre empted in Boston, what effect will it have on the final numbers? Likely adjustmnt up or down?

  • Mon

I enjoyed the love Law & Order: SVU got from last night’s 2 Broke Girls. I hope the ratings go up next week with FOX in repeats.

I agree the picture above is spoilery for those who haven’t watched the finale yet.

  • eridapo

    Ultima….

Revolution will adjust due to the Voice overrun…
