Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @ John

“Nobody with half a brain can call that pic a spoiler really.”

If it only took half a brain, you still wouldn’t be qualified to make that judgment.

  • Sarah

“@Sarah Have to agree, tho I hated the ending of Bones, I still want the ratings to hold, it was a pretty decent ep until then. Can’t quite give it up….but I’m close.”

Yeah, I don’t want ratings to fall too bad, but I expect (and kinda hope for) a backlash at the beginning of the season or at least until Pelant is gone for good because that ending was extremely cruel and unnecessary. JMO

And I’ve read where a lot of people have said they’re either done with the show completely or until the Pelant storyline is finished.

  • JP

    **** SPOILER ALERT****

If there is no Joe Carroll – there is no show and I for one am done… period. Purefoy is a fantastic actor and his character cannot be replaced.

  • rgxx

Wow – I don’t watch it but congrats to The Following – FOX is probably kicking themselves a little for ending it early in the season…

Looks like they should have done a 2-hour episode.

What is Fox running on Mondays now in May – I saw next week; a 2 hour rerun of Bones…really – a rerun in MAY?!

REVOLUTION holding, but not as strong – Castle now a serious competitor = rats!

  • rgxx

I’m glad REVOLUTION has been renewd – I just hope it doesn’t get the “SMASH treatment for Season 2 by NBC.

(Love it now, hate it later) = A teenage relationship Network

  • rgxx

CW – are you even a network with those numbers?

  • lakersupbyten

Five 0 is still steady compared to many shows who have dropped from bigger numbers. But a possible for 7 year run because of contracts and private company advertising support we may see more seasons. Still expect to see the numbers go up in the last part of the season..it fits the yearly pattern anyway. Aloha!

  • Keena

I agree, those numbers for H50 had more to do with the episode, the show within show bombs almost everytime. If it was done live instead of being taped would’ve helped, not even Wo-Fat can saved that one. I wanted to switch to Castle, but I have to wait to watch online.

Good for the Following, the show’s getting better and better, Kevin Bacon’s got a hit on his hands.

As for the Voice, it is still ahead of its numbers from last spring, NBC and Mark Burnett have a big decision for the fall, on the mentors, ratings are actually better with Shakira and Usher, than it has been with Christina and Cee-Lo.

  • Johnny

Yeah, remember WCVB Boston refused to air the new episode of Castle (replaced it with Tom Bergeron’s from season 2), so pretty much all of Massachusetts wasn’t able to tune in. With a .3 drop from last week, it’s pretty obvious that was a factor.

  • Mark

Apparently I’m the only one disappointed with the Following’s finale. I think when it’s more of the same next season, you will see the ratings suddenly plummet. Too few payoffs of something good happening versus all the bad and incompetence. At some point, there has to be some plausibility to how the cult members get into and out of places so easily….it’s lasy writing.

  • Mattia

Does anyone know anything about The Big C premiere?

  • brutony

H5-0 is pretty much TOAST! CBS has ALREADY renewed it for next season, which would undoubtably be its last-they’ll have enough eps for syndication, although I havent the blazes who the hell would buy it, and why! The last half season of this has been BRUTAL-totally jumped the shark! Next season, expect it on Fri, or even Saturday nights!

  • BigBrotherFan

I don’t think it did air behind the THE VOICE…I am pretty sure it didn’t but I could be wrong I think it aired after a show that got a boost from the voice. I think it could be a hot show if they really gave it a real promotional boost.

Agreed. He is a GREAT actor but I would like to think the show can do just as well without him. The problem for me is that if he is still alive I would of lost all credit for this show. Between the idiot decisions the FBI make and the FOLLOWERS escaping the most inescapable situations that would be the final straw. Maybe they can bring in someone new? EMMA WILL NOT CUT IT and I agree with most people on here she is a lame character and very weak. They would of had some shot maybe with Roderick and bringing in a new character but they never did that this season..so…I will just go with the flow but I like to think WILLIAMSON will leave him dead because dude has balls! he always kills off HUGE characters.

bm, the dude dies or goes to institute
tf, the dude dies or who knows
Hannibal, goes to institute but becomes free again and in control.

The Pre-emption likely caused Castle to only lose of a tenth in the demo. What more than likely cause the drop is H50 and Revolution being New last night when compare to a week ago.

The last time all three were New, Castle hit a 2.1 and 10.69 (The Wild Rover which aired on 3/25/2012. In fact the last time H50 aired a New episode (Revolution was pre-empted for a highly rated news special), Castle did a 2.1 and 10.41 (The Fast and The Furriest which aired on 4/15/2013) as well.

  • Other than THAT Mrs. Lincoln how was the play?

Not a good sign for Revolution when it has 2.2 in the first half hour then falls to 1.7 by 2nd half hour. 1/4 of the people who started watching last nights episode got bored and moved on.

Probably after the nonsense where once again General Monroe right out in the open but not killed as he kneeled over the body of his old girlfriend that he knocked up years earlier. He took a bullet then the rebels just decided to wait until his goons showed up and started shooting then start shooting again. Totally ridiculous.

Ouch, 2BG was in 3rd place in its timeslot.

So much for being the next big thing.

  • gerry

why would nbc put chicago fire on after the voice in the fall? that (those) position should be used to prop up a new show, not one that can already stand on its own two feet.

i feel like the fact that nbc put grimm there v the new and struggling hannibal is v telling of its future.

  • gerry

@ brutony, H50’s future is going to be determined more by TNT than anyone else at this point, and whether they’re ok w stripped or want more eps. They could easily push H50 (and most assuredly will) to friday or sunday 10 pm (which often airs at midnight due to overruns) and then just let it run there. it all depends on the syndication deal already in place.

  • thesnowleopard

You say that like it’s supposed to make Nikita look good.
