So excited for them. While not the best year in the writing dept for Y and R…I hope to see a lot of the other nominees win!

  • PatF

They are a Beast. They KILL their competition.

First time CBS beat ABC in nominations in years.

  • Dillon

NBC had one soap, as does ABC. CBS has two so naturally they’d have more nominations…

I agree Dillon, it’s not like there are 8 soaps on the air like there was 15 years ago. In fact, to me the daytime emmy awards used to be more like the ‘soap opera awards’, but now with just 4 soaps it has lost it’s lusture, at least in the daytime dramas category.

It’s not just soap nominations. CBS has a more diverse lineup, so they are getting more noms this year. Soaps, Game Shows, Talk, and News.

The other networks just don’t have the quality lineup.
