Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Surely that 1.2 has sealed renewal for Community? Better than any other comedy, aside from Parks, can achieve on its own.

  • HotLatino4GayMarriage

And the natural order is restored! Go Grey’s!

  • Tony JJ

I want Scandal to keep rising. Last night was incredible. Maybe a 3.0 for the finale?

  • DW

hmmm. Hannibal. if you were only a 9 pm show on the west coast. i would watch you in real time.

  • eridapo

    WS 1.0 3.63/ 1.1 3.62
    Greys 2.8 8.23/ 3.0 8.76
    Scan 2.7 8.15/ 2.6 8.12

    TVd .9 2.15/ .9 2.11
    BAtB .5 1.25/ .5 1.25

    Glee 1.9 5.63/ 1.7 4.82

    Hannibal 1.1 2.55 / 1.0 2.46

What has happen to CBS this week? Heck what has happen to it since February? It seems like the bottom fell out by nearly five tenths of a point. Sure spring might have something to do with it, but many of CBS shows have lost millions of viewers when the quality remains the same. Even TBBT is down from its 5.5+ fall numbers to a 4.6

The sad part about last night is that for hour dramas only Greys hit a 3.0 last night for at least a half hour.

Welcome to the New Normal (not the TV show) of television.

  • noda

no way TVD it was sooo goood,c’mon ://
    Hope it’ll go up

  • Dan

I think Community will get a final season from NBC but I really wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t.

  • Billy

    @Oliver

If NBC were smart they would not renew Community just because it is better than the rest of their low rated comedies. They should renew Parks & Recreation and go with all new comedies. They need to get rid of this low rated garbage and find the next hits.

  • Dillan

Ouch, AI down to X Factor levels.

TVD will adjust up as always.

  • ally

good to see Greys beating scandal again. Hope to see scandal crash and burn next season. (Bitter Revenge Fan)

  • m8991

What’s the big drop with POI? It used to have similar numbers with GA. Last night’s episode was an epic!

  • HotLatino4GayMarriage

Wow, PoI loses .4 at the half hour!

  • AlanJ

Glee down again this week its needs to be moved away from greys and POI

  • m&m

PR was pretty funny last night

  • Cyrax86

Still nice for Scandal & Parks and Recreation but once again, ouch for Hannibal. It is a goner!

  • RyanCanada

all those ratings are horible, and WTF is happening with Vampire Diaries? like i wonder if its due to Elena’s bad girl storyline i know everyone was pissed about that, but shes got her Humanity back so maybe that will bring the people back. i hope BATB and TVD adjust up. i wanna see Elementary up also

  • Melissa

Person of Interest had an ugly half-hour dropoff. Grey’s Anatomy should adjust up to 3.0.

  • Bee

    YAY GREY’S!

but whaaa? how did scandal go down TWO tenths after last week’s amazing episode (the only show where going down 2 tenths is a surprise lol). and it might potentially adjust down to a 2.5? huh? bizarre. maybe some viewers weren’t excited about all the mellie in the promos hahaha

also, cue scandal haters gloating about scandal not beating grey’s in 3..2..1..

LMAO that that’s now the new benchmark.

  • qrwanda

    GREAT JOB POI!

Person of Interest was EPIC last night, so much action/drama packed into 1 hour. How does Jonathan Nolan & JJ Abrams do it. I felt like I was watching Inception last night with a little bit of Dark Knight mixed in.

Can’t wait till next weeks finale. WOOT WOOT

  • eridapo

TVD is down to below a 1.0 which is reflective of how the Silas/ Elena arc have been big failures. It seems no one who watches cares for the new baddie nor for the Katherine lite Elena. The show should have stuck to telling a story of a girl who falls for a vampire.
