Click this link for the latest FOX renewal / cancellation information:

This is the final week of Renew / Cancel Index posts for the season, since the Fall 2013 broadcast TV schedules will be announced during the network upfront meetings next week, so as is our custom, Robert and I play Oddsmakers (hat tip, PTI) with our final renewal chance guesses of the season.

Our final guesses of RENEWAL chances:

    Robert Bill
Cleveland Show, The Fox 0% 0%
Touch Fox 0% 0%

5/9 Update: Touch has been canceled.
In what's a recurrent (and boring) theme for our final guesses, Robert and I have no significant differences in our final Fox predictions. However, your guesses may be quite different, let us know in the comments.

To address the picky commenters out there who'll otherwise whine "You just give percentages, you never make an up or down call!", please take all of my guesses above 50% as "will be renewed" and those below 50% as "will be canceled" and you may interpret the "distance" from 50% as my level of confidence in the prediction.
For those who'd like to review the last Renew / Cancel Index numbers I'll produce for the season, enjoy:

Our Renew / Cancel Index predicts potential renewal or cancellation for scripted broadcast primetime shows by the end of the 2012-13 season in May, 2013. (includes results from December 31, 2012- May 5, 2013):

The Cleveland Show no more eps to be produced 0.74
Raising Hope* renewed 0.80
The Mindy Project renewed 0.82

Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

*shows no longer on the air have their Renew/Cancel Index "frozen" at the point they left the schedule.

From now through the end of the broadcast season in May, the Renew/Cancel Index values will only be calculated using new episodes airing during 2013. However, until new episodes of a show air in 2013, the "old" Fall predictions will carry over.

  • - certain to be cancelled by May, 2013
  • - more likely to be cancelled than renewed by May, 2013
  • :| :| :| - toss up between renewal or cancellation by May, 2013
  • :) :) :) :) - more likely to be renewed than cancelled by May, 2013
  •     - certain to be renewed by May, 2013

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).

(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

Both shows will most definitely be cancelled. Easy. :D

It’s really too bad Touch bombed out. It actually got a lot better in its 2nd season with a lot of good twists. Hopefully they won’t leave us with a cliffhanger that will never be resolved. Question now is what will Fridays look like on Fox ? There’s a good chance that Raising Hope & perhaps Mindy will move there.

  • samurai99

The real question for Fox is ‘will they write Cleveland back into the Family Guy universe’? I’m going to guess yes.

  • The End

He’l probably move back into his old house lol

  • Drew

I enjoyed Touch but the plot doesn’t go anywhere. It’s seems like half the episodes Martin Bohm loses Jake then finds him. I miss 24. Best show Fox ever had. It was farfetched sometimes but it always kept you on the edge of your seat.
The threat was neutralized each season so it always came to a satisfactory conclusion. We know Touch is being cancelled. Will they edit the final episode to have some closure.

  • Spencer

Cleveland can just move back to Quahog. Heck, if any of the 3 Seth shows ( American dad, cleavland, family guy) gets cancelled they can just move them and be ‘new neighbor’ or something in another show haha

  • Phil

    Touch 100%
    The Cleveland Show 100%

  • KJ Styles

Cleveland will probably be put back on Family Guy, so it’s no big deal.

  • jake3988

I hated Cleveland Show from the very beginning, it was an awful show. I’ll be glad to (presumably) see Cleveland rejoin Family Guy.

  • HV

Here are my predictions (Note that I don’t believe in giving 0% or 100%)

    The Cleavland Show 10%
This show could replace Murder Police if it is a flop, but I don’t think Fox will do that.
    Touch 10%
This show could be a midseason replacement, but I highly doubt it.

Biggest Difference: (tie) The Cleavland Show and Touch
You say both shows have a 0% chance but I give 10% to them both.
    Disagreements: None.

  • MJDB

    My Oddsmakers:

    The Cleveland Show-0%

  • David

I would bet if Cleveland is not renewed that he moves back to family guy and prob brings his family with him

  • Dan

@David – Thats my guess too but that wont likely be until the next production cycle. My guess is that Cleveland and his family will move back to Quahog and some characters from The Cleveland Show like Tim the bear, Lester and Holt will move there too. Family Guy doesnt have too many characters so adding Clevelands characters could make the show better.

  • Eren

    FOX should do this:
    08.00pm Bones (26 episodes)
09.00pm Untitled Bad Robot/J.H. Wyman Project (13 episodes) / The Following (15 episodes)

    08.00pm Delirium (22 episodes)
    09.00pm Sleepy Hollow (22 episodes)

    08.00pm American Idol / The X Factor

    08.00pm American Idol / The X Factor
    09.00pm Glee (22 episodes)

08.00pm The Mindy Project (13 episodes) / Untitled Dan Goor/Mike Schur Comedy (13 episodes)
    08.30pm New Girl (24 episodes)
    09.00pm Friends & Family (10 epsiodes) / Dads (6 episodes) / Friends & Family (10 episodes)
    09.30pm Raising Hope (24 episodes)

    08.00pm The Simpsons (24 episodes)
    08.30pm Murder Police (13 episodes)
    09.00pm Family Guy (22 episodes)
    09.30pm American Dad! (20 episodes)

    Rake (10 episodes)
    Hell’s Kitchen (13 episodes)
    Kitchen Nightmares (13 episodes)
    MasterChef (13 episodes)
    Hotel Hell (13 episodes)
So You Think You Can Dance (13 episodes)

  • Rebecca

I enjoyed Touch once I caught up on this season online. With one episode left to air now I hope it wraps up well. I agree with the percentages given. Hope Keifer gets to do the 24 movie some day or another good project.

  • Dan

I still think FOX will keep the 2 hour Tuesday comedy block. They might move Mindy to 8:30 and air a new comedy after New Girl but its better to keep the block intact.

  • Molly

Touch is the only show I watch on Fox. Bones has gotten so lame. And American Idol and Glee are the stupidest shows on TV. CBS and ABC own night time TV.

  • Ted

I can tell Fox was getting ready to cancel Cleveland when NASCAR ran over the show preempting it last week.
