Click this link for the latest FOX renewal / cancellation information:

This is the final week of Renew / Cancel Index posts for the season, since the Fall 2013 broadcast TV schedules will be announced during the network upfront meetings next week, so as is our custom, Robert and I play Oddsmakers (hat tip, PTI) with our final renewal chance guesses of the season.

Our final guesses of RENEWAL chances:

    Robert Bill
Cleveland Show, The Fox 0% 0%
Touch Fox 0% 0%

5/9 Update: Touch has been canceled.
In what's a recurrent (and boring) theme for our final guesses, Robert and I have no significant differences in our final Fox predictions. However, your guesses may be quite different, let us know in the comments.

To address the picky commenters out there who'll otherwise whine "You just give percentages, you never make an up or down call!", please take all of my guesses above 50% as "will be renewed" and those below 50% as "will be canceled" and you may interpret the "distance" from 50% as my level of confidence in the prediction.
For those who'd like to review the last Renew / Cancel Index numbers I'll produce for the season, enjoy:

Our Renew / Cancel Index predicts potential renewal or cancellation for scripted broadcast primetime shows by the end of the 2012-13 season in May, 2013. (includes results from December 31, 2012- May 5, 2013):

Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

*shows no longer on the air have their Renew/Cancel Index "frozen" at the point they left the schedule.

From now through the end of the broadcast season in May, the Renew/Cancel Index values will only be calculated using new episodes airing during 2013. However, until new episodes of a show air in 2013, the "old" Fall predictions will carry over.

  • - certain to be cancelled by May, 2013
  • - more likely to be cancelled than renewed by May, 2013
  • :| :| :| - toss up between renewal or cancellation by May, 2013
  • :) :) :) :) - more likely to be renewed than cancelled by May, 2013
  •     - certain to be renewed by May, 2013

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).

(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

In truth, ‘Touch’ would have worked much better as a little $20m prestige pic rather than a full-blown series, once you got past the initial premise and character beats, there wasn’t really much there, still, at least they tried, cheerio!

Now that ‘Touch’ will be an ex-parrot by Monday morning, will 20th Century Fox PLEASE for the love of mercy get the ’24’ movie turned around and prepped for shooting this late summer/early fall (with Jon Cassar directing hopefully!), no more excuses people, it’s time Jack Bauer was treated with some respect and dignity and got at least ONE movie before Kiefer isn’t capable anymore (and that’s probably about two or three years away so the clock is ticking)…

Fox, in my oppinion, made some disappointing choices regarding their pilots. Neither The Gabriels or The List made it! The only one I may watch is Surviving Jack (if it’s the same thing as I Suck at Girls)

I was talking to someone the other day about TCS. I said that it would be hilarious if the first ep of FG next season Cleveland wakes up back in his yard after being knocked out from another bathtub incident and discovers the entire Cleveland show was a dream. Just another ep of FG. They did something similar on the finale of “Newhart” many years ago and it was awesome.

Touch is far from boring. It is such an incredible, rare, intelligent, superb television series about how we are all connected [through numbers]. Beautiful, and yes (forgive me) touching.

What I got from this—There is still no final word which means there is STILL HOPE for renewal for a third season. Or, a cable network to pick it up. I think it would do better/is more suited for cable anyways.
Touch deserves more [recognition], with its greatly talented cast, intriguing story/stories, and interesting characters.

I love Touch so much! I am grateful to everyone involved with the creating of the show, for knowing this wonderful series these last two seasons (although only on the air just over one year). If I will, sadly, be saying goodbye to the show after this week that is what I’ll be—full of gratitude for the time Touch did have on the air. It most definitely will always be remembered with me. I am still hoping though…..

No, there’s not. Keifer Sutherland was released to work on new projects ages ago, the ratings are beyond horrible, and FOX has already picked up ten new series for next season and renewed all of the existing scripted shows that they want.

Production on next season’s episodes began months ago. While it’s a possibility that The Cleveland Show was canceled months ago and they just kept a lid on it, the more likely outcome is that there’s no way they can reintegrate the character into Family Guy until next spring (assuming they want to).

  • ddddddddd

I actually enjoy The Cleveland show. I also wish they hadn’t canceled the animated Napoleon Dynamite. :(

  • Ajka

Oh, please, Touch is such an amazing series!! Says a girl from the Czech Republic in Europe! Even we here love it!

  • Marius

Just like Human Target, they took a good show and retooled it to death. Touch is dead, let it go. I liked Season 1. Season 2 was 24: Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The Cleveland Show was not on my list of shows to begin with. When Fox pushed Bob’s Burgers to 9:30 that was the only time I found it irritating (since on the listings they didn’t share the time change and my DVR recorded it instead… well, that’s what Hulu is for I guess). Otherwise, I don’t care if it’s renewed or cancelled.

  • Randy

Cancel American Idol and X-Factor already!

  • Matthew Chapman

In not so surprising news, Touch has been cancelled.

  • Jorge

Should not be cancel great show
Renew this show is great funny and funny

Why don’t you guys cancel TMZ

  • Sarah

I honestly think Bones is moving to Friday, especially if you believe DB’s tweet from yesterday. :(

  • Shawn

The Cleveland Show is awful!!! Cancel it and get mike Henry (and Cleveland) back on Family Guy where he belongs! The characters of Herbert, Conswella, The Greased-Up Deaf Guy and of course Cleveland have been absent since the show started. Honestly it’s the best thing for Family Guy! Focus on QUALITY not QUANTITY!

  • Lauren Libert
