Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Fox has ordered comedies Enlisted, Surviving Jack (based on 'I Suck At Girls'), Us & Them and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Andre Braugher is back, along with Andy Samberg). They join join Dads from Seth MacFarlane.

And yay Alexis Bledel is back on TV! :D

  • Norman

Dads will end up on Sunday with Seth’s other shows

One show will end up on Tuesday. One show will end up after a shortened X-Factor on Wednesday. Two will end up on the schedule at midseason, possibly replacing a failed new series or taking the place of Raising Hope or The Mindy Project if Fox ends them early.

  • Alan

FOX picks up the worst sitcoms, one will be a hit (or two) and the other ones will be cancelled by the second or third episodes.

  • Ram510

I’m guessing guessing some of these shows won’t make it on the air until late (like Goodwin Games). And some of these shows will be used for the Olympics

Can’t wait to see how the schedule shakes out.

Interesting that Fox is typically the most boring schedule and i barely pay attention to it but now I can’t wait for it

  • Dan

Wow thats a lot of comedies, even with Dads likely airing sundays midseason. I’m guessing that the 2 hour comedy block is being kept but where will the other shows air? They couldnt even schedule Goodwin Games this spring.

With all the dramas ordered into the mix, my guess is Glee will either air fridays or midseason.

  • Dan

@Norman – Actually that makes sense. Dads will likely replace American Dad for a few weeks, while Murder Police will do the same with Bob’s Burgers. (Somehow the Sunday shows will be moved and shifted allowing for some episodes of AD and BB to be pushed to 2014-2015).

It will be interesting to see how FOX schedules all these shows but I think their intent is to overload the schedule so that they can find some hits.

FOX was lucky to be 50/50 in terms of the 4 new shows aired this season. Of the 2 comedies aired, 1 succeeded and out of the two dramas aired 1 was renewed.

An embarrassment of riches for Fox next season. I’m usually bored by this network with the overloading of AI, X-Factor & Animation. There will definitely be some time sharing with a lot of shows. I’m guessing they’ll be cutting back the number of hrs they’ll have for AI & X-Factor next season. I know Rake is supposed to be held for midseason like The Following so that won’t likely go on Mon. I’ll definitely be checking out Brooklyn 9-9 with Andre Braugher.

@StevenD Never will FOX put Raising Hope on Sunday, or Bones on Friday…

  • Oliver

Eh, I can see them putting Bones on Friday at some point. It would probably do pretty well for them.

    @Dan

They couldnt even schedule Goodwin Games this spring.

You’ve confused “couldn’t” with “didn’t want to”. They had plenty of schedule space clearly chose not to.

  • Holly

    @Oliver,

Eh, I can see them putting Bones on Friday at some point.

The idea of moving Bones to Friday doesn’t bother me, but FOX launching two new shows on Monday seems unlikely.

  • Paulo PT

Maybe FOX wants to launch one hour live-action sitcoms on sunday at 9pm, for a male audience, and tuesday lineup for a female audience.

    Monday and Thursday dramas lineup.

    Also Less repeats trought season.

I don’t Like they keep The X Factor and American Idol on the shedule at same time. One show will be enough!

  • Colin

Also, I doubt Bones will get a final season b/c its ratings were up from last year and just b/c a show has been on for a long time doesn’t mean it should end, for example, NCIS, etc. Glee will not be on Friday’s first off to who ever said that in a schedule nor will Bones be…

  • omabin

I agree with Holly, launching two new shows on Monday seems unlikely and an unnecessary risk when they have good old reliable Bones. At least for the first half of the season. I could see the logic of pairing something new with the following though.

Honestly, the biggest head-scratcher to me from FOX is the renewal of the Mindy project. It seems incomprehensible to me especially in light of what apparently seems to have been a very strong development season for them!

“Honestly, the biggest head-scratcher to me from FOX is the renewal of the Mindy project. It seems incomprehensible to me especially in light of what apparently seems to have been a very strong development season for them!”

My theory, Mindy was renewed before development results were known, just in case they were a disaster.

Their schedule will reveal it. If Mindy goes to Friday or doesn’t start in September, it’s next season’s Touch.

  • SS

Dad’s looks interesting, but I doubt I will check out the other comedies.

  • Ted Craig

My theory remains that Mindy brings in a very wealthy audience. In fact, it might prove a good pairing for Us and Them. I doubt this pairing will occur on Fridays.

Also, Dads is my prediction for the biggest flop.Stuff that works in animation usually doesn’t in real life.

  • TheFrenchGuy

When we will know about CBS ?

  • Rebecca

They “join join Dads”? Remove one of the joins.

  • j to the

I laugh when I see “schedule” suggestions here.

  • Mitchell

    Enlisted woohoo!

Geoff Stults + Parker Young + Chris Lowell in 1 show? Count me in.
