Chuck Lorre

Several sources are reporting that Chuck Lorre-produced comedy Mom has indeed been ordered to series  by CBS. There's been no official word yet, but we'll update this post when there is.

  • Kavyn

@Mark I’ll be tuning in for the exact opposite reasoning lol. Not a fan of Chuck Lorre’s stuff but I LOVE Anna Faris.

  • Matt

Gonna watch it for sure! Anna Faris and Chuck Lorre <3

  • Ryne

Chalk it up for Mondays @ 8:30

  • ToXiX

We already know how the fall schedule will look for comedies.

8 How I Met Your Mother
    830 Mom
    9 2 Broke Girls
    930 Mike & Molly

    8 The Big Bang Theory
830 Two And A Half Men

CBS is too predictable to do anything different.

  • DenverDean

Needs to air at 830 on Mondays. With HIMYM leaving. Gotta position something to anchor the night in the future.

  • Steven

I hope they change the title. “Mom” just sounds so plain. I’m on the fence about this because I love Anna Faris, but am not a Chuck Lorre fan. I haven’t liked a single one of his shows since Grace Under Fire and Cybill.

  • Dan S

Sounds interesting but I can’t stand multi-cams. I did see Nate Corddry late of Harry’s Law is in the show.

To be fair, Chuck Lorre has very little to do with Mike and Molly. Other than helping create it (like JJ Abrams does with his shows) he really is not involved at all.

Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, he (helps) write nearly every episode for both.

I would imagine with Mom either it’ll be like M&M where he’s really not involved or he’ll remove himself significantly or entirely from TAAHM or TBBT (probably the former).

  • Jared

Not a fan of Chuck Lorre series but LOVE Anna Faris. I’ll have to atleast check it out.

  • rob60990

If CBS does not launch this after TBBT, they are idiots. Plugging it in 8:30 on Mondays will not solve their problems on that night.

  • Anna Bones Clarkwood

Why has noone brought up “Dharma & Greg” or “Grace Under Fire” or “Cybill”?

Those are his “babies” as well.

I haven’t watched Grace Under Fire or Cybill, I do plan on it, but I love Dharma & Greg.

My ranking of his shows, that I’ve watched goes:

Though they all target different “laugh centers” so it’s all a matter of what hits your personal buttons as to how you rank them or even if you like them.

  • Survivor Fan

I love his shows (except Mike & Molly, which is OK), so I am looking forward to this one.

  • Ram510

Ugh! Why another Chuck Lorre show? I will most likely not watch since I don’t care for any of his current work

  • Adrian

I like both Chuck and Anna Faris so I’ll be watching this. I hope it’s good, I dropped TAAHM after Sheen left (can’t stand Kutcher) and dropped TBBT when they added Amy and Bernadette.

  • Hubert R. Wentland

I find TAAHM and TBBT unwatchable, but might try this one since it may be totally different being a female-driven show. but they need to change the title. Every CBS comedy (excepting M&M, maybe) has a great, intriguing, fun and quirky title. No Partners and no Mom can be among them.

  • AniMatsuri

I love Chuck Lorre shows. Critics almost always hate them and they usually get good ratings anyway.

  • Petar Ivanov

If they can find one more good show i can see mike and molly for midseason like rules was. Its too low now for full season cbs comedy.

  • Victor Mancha

I love Chuck Faris but I can’t stand Anna Lorre so I’ll watch Two and a half theories on wednesdays.

  • Stop the Flop

I’m guessing this is going to be another one of his shows where the characters wear the same style of clothes over and over (like Charlie’s bowling shirts and Howard’s turtleneck/skinny jeans).

  • DW

chuck lorre = ratings. i would put this at 900 on mondays as an anchor move mike and molly up to 830 where it would work better than 930 and 2 broke girls 930.
