    @Sam
    Who frickin watches 3 hours of TV

    Sports broadcasts usually run ~3 hours. Why should a different standard be applied to entertainment television?

    Mindy’s show is excellent…you wouldn’t know from the pilot, but thank goodness it greatly improved since then. I still watch New Girl and enjoy it but often like Mindy more. She was funny in The Office but wasn’t given much to do. I love the ensemble on The Mindy Project (I wish they’d just called it Mindy; that’s all I ever call it usually), especially Dr. Danny Castellano and Morgan the weird nurse.

    I was surprised there was even going to be a Hatfields & McCoys series/pilot, since the miniseries covered it so well already. Were they just going to stretch it out into a long series and have other people play the parts that were already so greatly played? Waste of time IMO. I wasn’t interested, but then I don’t go for dramas on tv much anyway. Mainly comedies. I liked the miniseries though.

    The Mindy Project is horrible. I’m one of those who takes it off after New Girl.

    REally hope Body of Proof will get renewed even for 13 episodes. I think it is a decent performer considering how Nashville and Revenge, two of ABC’s buzziest dramas, have been doing in the ratings. Body of Proof really doesn’t do that much worse than Nashville (I think Nashville has been getting 1.6-1.8?) and BOP is getting anywhere between 1.4 and 1.8 (I think?).

    @Sam
    I think you’re grossly underestimating the amount of time some people (including me) watch TV.

    People generally watch less TV in the spring but this year the collapse in viewership is quite alarming..And it is almost across the board, comedies,reality and drama

    The only exception is Scandal on ABC which seems to be holding up very nicely

    @Aieden – ‘Holding up’?

    Scandal shot up like a rocket in the ratings. Not just ‘holding up’. Now who could have predicted that!

    This season of New Girl SUCKS. I haven’t laughed once and compared to season one, I find it unbearable and boring and I stopped watching. I don’t know how the ratings are that high. Mindy on the other hand is hilarious with a breakout star and I can’t wait to see more. I think the ratings went down because people thought the season was over. I did until I checked online. The advertising for this show isn’t the greatest..

    I love New Girl! The finale was awesome and hilarious. I think its ratings are deserved and far better than The Mindy Project in my opinion.
