CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program in adults 25-54 – the demographic most important to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 5, 2013. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 4.0/11 with 5.76m viewers and a 1.4/07 in adults 25-54.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its best viewers and household deliveries since Feb. 24, 2013. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +17% in viewers (from 4.94m), up +14% in households (from 3.5/10), and even in adults 25-54.
Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +7% in both adults 25-54 (1.5/07 from 1.4/07) and viewers (5.68m from 5.28m), and up +8% in households (4.0/11 from 3.7/10) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast featured Lee Cowan’s interview with First Lady Michelle Obama, Tracy Smith’s profile of NCIS star Mark Harmon, Mark Strassmann’s report on the growing problem of sinkholes, Bill Geist’s look inside a grilled cheese sandwich competition and Mo Rocca’s report on the critical and controversial role of the Mexican-American War in U.S. history.
