Glad it got picked up :D

I don’t know where the folks keep saying that NCIS:RED is airing on Tuesday night. Unless they put in a entire new cast for the series, I don’t see this show as a go, it had horrible ratings, the reviews for the back door pilot episode were horrible. I don’t watch ‘LA’, but my mom does and she said the episode was lousy, nearly fell asleep watching in and won’t tune into it if CBS does decide to put it on it’s fall schedule. Now I’ll be tuning into Kathryn Morris’ medical drama next winter. She’s long over due for a TV series, nice to see her back.

    Awesome news

Guys, they didn’t say a main cast member. They said a main character.
Our definition of a main character and Erica Messer’s definition probably isn’t the same. In fact some of us are speculating that it’s going to be Strauss.

EM has done this sort of thing before. We were told that in the season 7 finale that one of our own was going to be in danger. Naturally my friends and I are thinking it’s going to be one of the main cast members. So we are all speculating as to who it might be, and then it turned out to be that Will was taken hostage.

Now everything CBS has not yet renewed will be canceled.

    Great news!!!

Actually, the exact term they used was “series regular” which doesn’t have to be a main character at all just someone who has been with the show on a regular basis.

However, I just read a report on TVLine that said there would be two deaths. Well, they said one death and one “possible” death – one of which would be a series regular. So now I don’t know what to think. (except that I’m still positive none of the 7 main characters are going to die.)

    @ PurpleDrazi

I wonder if the possible death could be Blake. I think it’s possible CBS might still be trying to make a decision about the character.

I actually like Alex, but honestly there isn’t anything she can contribute to the team that Reid can’t contribute himself.

As I understand it she got a 1 year contract with an option for a second year if CBS chooses to bring her back.

Honestly if they do decide to get rid of the Alex Blake character, I really hope they won’t replace her and just opt for a smaller cast.

i hope they cancel csi las vegas next year and make this show survive longer

If they do actually get rid of one of the team I’m pretty sure it would be Blake. The article over at TVLine indicated that there may be some sort of link between her and the replicator. I’m still not convinced a main character (i.e. a team member) is going to die though.

I think it’s more likely someone we know but is not a major character will actually die and then the show will end on a cliffhanger with one of the team members in jeopardy (the “possible death” that was mentioned).

Whatever happens I’m glad everyone is coming back. Now, if only we could get the writers to give them some good material…

I was actually hoping we’d get some better writers. I’ve not been happy with the material we’ve gotten from some of them.

I nearly quit watching the show last season for a couple of reasons.1 The
lack of Reid in so many episode and 2 They basically just turned our team into a bunch of extras while they seemed to make the unsubs the stars of the show.

AS a matter of fact Erica Messer was taken to task by the fans bc in one of her chats she actually referred to the unsubs as the stars of the show.

Speaking of EM I was sort of hoping CM would get a new show runner. I’m not entirely convinced that she understand the concept of CM as well as her predecessor Ed Bernero did.

In fairness to her I did feel there was an improvement in this season. I loved the focus Reid got, since I felt he’d been sort of neglected in seasons 6 and 7.I also felt our team got a little more screen time and the unsubs a little less.I’m hoping for even less unsub and more of our team come season 9.

Yeah I saw where EM indicted that there may be a connection between Alex Blake and the Replicator. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Is this show still sleazy, gross torture-porn for middle-aged suburbanites and conservatives? Does it still linger on scenes of horrific violence against women little longer than necessary for dramatic purposes? Has the characterization of serial killers gotten any more interesting since the laughable and puddle-deep James van der Beek villain? Are you all still making the ridiculous excuse that you just watch it for the main characters?

This is a rare case where I agree with Big Brother Fan. Not to mention Mandy Patinkin, although maybe he was just using the show’s sick sh#t as an excuse, but if so, it was a damn good excuse.

resigned. re-signed. What a difference a hyphen makes! Talk about extremes! Easy mistake to make. lol

Saw a picture on Shemar Moore’s Facebook of him and I think Blake at a funeral from the new series and from what I hear its almost defo Strauss, no big loss really. There is no way they could kill off 1 of the main team, all too big to die right now!
