Voice was down 0.2 vs. the comparable fall episode, which makes sense since Idol is 0.2 higher than the comparable X Factor episode.

When I see Supernatural adjust up like this, it makes me feel like a proud Momma. There is just something special about this show. It’s not for everyone but that is ok with me. It just makes the #SPNFamily that much more amazing.

    SPN! :)

    Go SVU! :D

@ashley, i think this season is great. Seasons 2-5 were amazing of course, things fell off a big in 6-7 but while i agree that 8 was a little slow at firdt, the tablets, kevin, men of letters the doors to heaven and hell, i am impressed with just how much story they can still tell and am looking forward to season 9 and shoot i wouldnt mind them pulling a smallville and goving this show a well deserved 10th final season.

Depending on each week, it is the #2 or #3 show for the cw.. Thats still after 8 years. I was able to watch this show nonstop recently thanks to netflix and it this show has heart action and most of all a great story. I was a little underwhelmed last night with the overwhelming bit of information we got. Season finale next week, what ?!?

Go [higher next week] Criminal Minds!

  • toons

maybe abc shouldn’t have wasted 5 neighbors and some suburgatorys on nights filled with reruns… cant believe they burned them off for family tools and parents

Go SPN so happy to see it keep going after 8 seasons and our ratings are still awesome.. =)

I wouldn’t be surprised, if TVD goes up just a little, since “ironically” Nina and Ian announced their split, as a couple the day of a new episode. Publicity, at its finest.

Solid numbers for NBC. If only Revolution or Grimm could hold up that well after a weaker Voice episode. It goes to show how NBC Wednesdays could do decent numbers if a stronger show were at 8pm. They made the right move in booting Whitney, imo.

  • Ultima

    CBS has renewed Criminal Minds.

Gibson, Mantegna, Moore, Vangsness and Cook all signed for an additional two seasons (although CBS’ renewal is only for one year).

So happy Supernatural adjusted up! Yes, there have been complaints about the writing this season. But it’s still MUCH better than season 4 of The Vampire Diaries.

I’m not hopeful about TVD season 5 in light of Julie Plec’s latest interview. So maybe Supernatural will end up being the top CW show.

I’d bump How to Live With Your Parents up to 90% of renewal now. I know its numbers are inflated because of it’s lead in, but at this point ABC doesn’t have enough data to tell them it’s going to do horribly next year.

Arrow, as mentioned, did well against strong competition. SPN had some too, as SVU jumped up from last week, but not as much as Arrow. Still great though.

One good thing I will say about last night’s episode is that they managed to have an incentive for people to keep watching the second half. They don’t always do this, but last night, you really had to keep watching to know what Crowley was going to do.

This time last year Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 scored a 2.3, but behind a 4.4 rating from Modern Family. Now Modern Family’s 3.3 is 25% below that rating and How to Live still manages a healthy 2.0 rating, which is only three tenths below Apartment 23’s rating. It should be renewed.

I hate to be a retentionista but Apartment 23’s retention out of MF this time last year was 53% and the retention from MF to How to Live this year is 61%

  • forg

No new season low for MF at least. I wish The Middle was the one adjusted up not Family Tools. Decent hold for How to Live

  • Parvati G.oddess

I think survivor might have beaten idol in its time slot :D . Can anyone confirm that? Thanks in advance.

I know. I debated whether to DVR next week’s episode instead of watching it live. Then I remembered all the drama that would come after the episode airs and flood the online places I frequent and how I would have to stay away from them to keep from being spoiled and I decided against it. I’m in too deep now.

It’s not like this is the first time arrow has it .7 in adults 18-33, the first time was October, and on Jan, ect. And of course amything that airs can impact shows.

  • Cass

I hate this season of SPN, but you can’t say the fanbase isn’t loyal. We’ll watch it to the end like the obsessive masochists we are lol

I certainly feel like a masochist having slogged through seasons 6 and 7, but the second half of this season is like the light at the end of a tunnel. I don’t know if you’ve been keeping up but it’s a vast improvement. Finally, we’re back on with interesting mythology and the Men of Letters retcon changes everything. And once the Trials purges Sam of his demon-bloodedness, maybe we’ll have less of the same tired back-and-forth between the brothers? One can hope.
