Whitney has been cancelled after two seasons.
This is news gives me confidence NBC is really willing to turn their fortunes around.
Maybe this leaves room on the schedule for the New Normal and Guys With Kids. Kidding, of course, if you’re going to dream, why be realistic?
I’ll admit that i’m of those who sat through many of those episodes where i didn’t even stifle a laugh but i very much wanted it to get better especially after the 2nd half of season 1.
Community has to be the only one with some breathing life left now….
We might be seeing an all new Thursday line-up ala ABC’s Wednesday with MF.
I’m holding my breath with Hannibal… Please be renewed.
Yes, even like 2 Broke Girls, this isn’t funny.
Things like Friends or Seinfeld are funny,
Community’s ratings are no better than Whitney’s. If I was a fan, I would take this as a bad sign.
I think this means GO ON is pretty safe!
It would make MY DAY if Hannibal was shown the door..PLEASE NBC cancel that TURKEY please!!!!!!!!!!!!
The part about The Office is true. I honestly never cared about the promotion of broadcast TV shows, though.
I think this show would have been able to grow. Oh well, it was OK while it lasted!
Weird this comes out before news about GWK. I actually like GWK and thought it was pretty funny, just given the unfortunate Whitney as a launching pad.
Good. Now Go on and Comminty have higher chances at getting renewed, though I still think they should cancel go on.
Heh, please. It was WAY better than 2 Broke Girls
I know its the in thing and everyone is happy, but I really liked “Whitney” and thought it was mindless fun. I’ll miss it.
While Community and Whitney had basically the same ratings NBC basically would have to had to renew Whitney for 2 more seasons. That’s a lot tougher pill to swallow then possibly bringing back Community for 13 episodes in the midseason just in case they have some shows bomb.
THANK YOU, CANCELLATION BEAR!!!!!!
I’m surprised but not shocked. (I don’t watch any NBC sitcom awaiting renewal other than Community.)
0/1 for Robert and Bill (on shows that were truly bubbles).
did it even hit a 1.3?
it wasn’t going to be renewed.
I have a strange feeling this isn’t the last we’ll hear of Whitney
Nnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooo please Tbs somebody pick this wonderful show up
