Chicago Fire - Season 1

NBC has ordered the Chicago PD  spinoff of Chicago Fire to series.

    ROOKIE BLUE 2.0?

  • r0ckmypants

    Wouldn’t you think they would wait to see how the backdoor pilot fares next week? Strange. And Chicago Fire isn’t the kind of hit that I would think warrants a spin-off… but whatever.

  • BigBrotherFan

    NBC announce that FLOP Hannibal as canceled already! Geez! I hate refreshing this over and over again

  • Jt

    Does that mean no Black List?

  • Holly

    @r0ckmypants,

    It’s rare for networks to wait until after upfronts to pick up a show.

  • Alex

    What a terrible decision.

    @Jt
    Blacklist pick-up is coming. NBC intends to do all their orders from Sony in one go apparently.

  • MichaelChickless

    Uh oh! Go Hannibal!

  • Cyrax86

    For the hundredth time: poor Hannibal…

  • John A

    I just dont see why this is being made. Chicago Fire isnt a hit. But good luck to it.

  • Dante

    I don’t get this at all. The original is barely registering for NBC, holding steady at 1.7-1.8 and that qualifies for a spin off? Odd.

    The main question should be why was CF renewed, not why are they ordering a spin off? NBC just continues to want to dwell in the bottom.

  • catocony

    Is NBC to the point that a show that averages a freakin 1.9 gets a spinoff? Wow.

  • BigBrotherFan

    SO…

    SVU to Thursday @10pm?

  • Dante

    Interesting to see those agreeing with me in this thread when only last Wednesday, I was accused of bashing CF for pointing out exactly what I did here with people saying “it IS a hit for NBC, performs so well for the network, one of their highest rated new dramas”… etc.

  • Jenny

    Why, oh why NBC?

  • iMember

    @Dante Chicago Fire was renewed because it was pulling in good ratings for NBC and is performing better than most of their shows at earlier times. It would only be stupid to ask why the renewed it.

  • Androme

    @John
    Yes it is. You just don’t see it.

  • were123

    Ok, so I think this means SVU goes at 8, CF at 9 and they end the night CP at 10. Dick Wolf Wednesday!

  • Mark Markleson

    When are we going to get the ” what’s the first NBC ordered pilot/series to be cancelled poll ” ?

  • Stuart

    Chicago: District Attorney for spring 2014. Chicago: Special Victims Unit fall 2014.

  • Cyrax86

    If I’m counting it well, they now have 6 new dramas with that Crossbones thing, I think that’s one more than the previous season?
