Among all the hopefuls across the nation, it’s down to just Candice Glover and Kree Harrison, and the stakes have never been higher in one of American Idol’s most heated battles for the title. Following tonight’s elimination of Angie Miller, 19, from Beverly, MA, Candice and Kree are the two women left standing in a historically close fight to the finish. They now will prepare for their final showdown performance on Wednesday, May 15(8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), when America’s votes will decide who will join the ranks of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Phillip Phillips to become the next American Idol.

When asked what winning AMERICAN IDOL would mean to them, the Top 2 replied:

Candice: “It would mean the absolute world.  I definitely feel like, no matter what, I’ve come so far. Everything I've worked for will have paid off.”

Kree: “It would mean so much because it would mean the sooner I’d get to make my record! More than anything, I would feel accomplished, knowing that I could make music.”

On tonight’s results show, multi-Grammy Award-winning artist Alicia Keys performed her new single, “Tears Always Win,” from her hit album, “Girl On Fire.” Also, country artist and Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina performed her new single, “Barefoot and Buckwild,” for the first time ever on the IDOL stage.

So mad they’re not coming to NJ again… I was going to audition again in NJ… Welp, guess online is my only hope.

Once again American Idol sent home the most popular singer. Angie Miller trended higher on Google and had twice as many Twitter followers and Facebook likes. It is all about unlimited voting that give the less popular and talented person the ability to steal the win, just like Chris Allen did.

And with Angie’s exit comes mine, see you next year Idol.

  • Ben

I DONT CARE AS THE SHOW NEVER MADE ANY GREAT SINGERS … Kelly was good but Carrie Underwood was an over rated Taylor Swift want-a-be

  • BigBrotherFan

    Randy got fat again!

  • TVMAN

@Ben. You’re kidding? Carrie Underwood was famous before T Swift. Carrie more talent in one finger than TS has in her whole body. And your “assumption” that IDOL has never made any good singers is not true. Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry, Kellie Picker, Katharine Mcphee, Jordin Sparks, Adam Lambert have all proven to have great voices, better than any other competition contestants- those were only to name a few..

@TVMAN, I agree with you. And both Candace and Kree have great voices. Angie was great on piano and is a great songwriter with a pleasant voice but at times her performances came off as if she were in a pagent. IMO, She gave more broadway caliber performances. I still thought Kree was going home because her energy level has been going down. She just seemed more disconnected in the past few weeks. So I feel Candace Glover deserves the win. She had a lot of special performances.

The fix is in. Candace wins to appease the racist conspiracy. Hey,the rumor has it that Clay trounced Ruben in season 2. I guess Candace will win become
a star and will make a weight watchers commercial.

The female singers on The Voice are so much better.

We all know the white girl is going to win, so whats the point of watching????
