    No surprise here.
A shame, though, because it was actually a very good show.

  • Synchrony

That stinks! It was my favorite new show. They don’t get shows enough time to catch on anymore.

  • Drew

CBS is the #1 rated network. If a show doesn’t draw huge numbers it gets cancelled.

  • Darius03

Too bad the James Franco charm of the main character cannot save the show. But CBS hould’ve given Golden Boy at least a second season.

  • Valerie

Very sad, really like this show! What not enough reality crap on, need to make room for one more? Please reconsider CBS!

  • Linda Boyce

I personally loved Golden Boy and looked forward to watching it. I really wonder why the shows that make it do. I plan to start reading more as television is not the entertainment it used to be. Also, why are we catering to the 18-49 crowd. I know it has to do with the advertisements reaching the masses that would buy their product but still, people over 49 rely on television for their sole (well mostly) entertainment. I will stop as I can go on and on.

  • Holly

    @Valerie,

eally like this show! What not enough reality crap on, need to make room for one more?

It won’t matter to you, but Golden Boy will be replaced by scripted fare, not reality TV

  • Ken

We enjoyed this show. Very sorry to see it go.

  • jeanne

I love this show. Please don’t cancel.

  • sharon taylor

Damn…it was just getting good..love the show..sorry to see it go, but that’s the way they are…get a good one going and then cancel…and leave some real crappy show on that nobody really watches….

  • sharon taylor

one more thing…PLEASE NO MORE REALITY SHOWS…..I AM SO SICK OF THOSE STUPID SHOWS….reality…I don’t think so…stupid??? i know so….

  • andri

D-R-E-A-D-F-U-L. now thatched a show unshorn I’d like on Nbc instead.

  • Blue Spader

This was a good show. It’s truly a shame that shows like this and Vegas are gone while ineptly written and porly acted crap comedies like 2 Broke Girls stays. While I’m not in the 18-49 demo, I spend a lot more money than most of them – advertisers, take note!

Look losers, I have watched every episode and loved every minute of this series. If the half of you who are commenting and never even seen the show, go watch an episode then come back and make an informed comment.

  • Cory

Loved golden boy after ncis and ncis la

  • Tim

This show might have had a better chance if it had been set in another city, but CBS already has a show featuring a NYC Police Commissioner,Blue Bloods.

  • Kelly

No Way – That is a GREAT SHOW – WHERE DO I SIGN THE PETITION TO BRING IT BACK – PLEASE DON’T GO TO CABLE WITH IT. I WILL BE THE WINDY CITY AMBASSADOR FOR IT’S COME BACK – WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO ?

  • JMS

Golden Boy had a good premise and interesting plotlines. What killed it, I think, was that the eponymous character just was not sympathetic. He was the weakest link, and if your hero isn’t likeable, you’re doomed.

  • GENE SLIGH

This is a great show–should be renewed and promoted more–One of the best police shows o the air.

  • tony

Save this show. Chi Mcbride deserves this show and so do we.
