@ AO, I know it’s a very different picture for each network. I just find it interesting that the network that only programs 10 hours of primetime a week is bringing back just as many scripted series as one of the “big 4″ that programs 22 hours of primetime a week.

@Breaking news: The Cancellation Bear died today of a heart attack caused by excessive food consumption.

That or he had a feast fit for a king!

  • -A

“when was Cleveland show announced cancelled”

What he said. Is it officially official?

  • BrieK

I think NBC is going to cancel Hannibal, but I wish they would renew it. I think if it is renewed, it will gain viewers from summer viewing. But, NBC seems bent on re-vamping.

  • Survivor Fan

Usually post-Friday announcements are renewals. But, Hannibal does not have the ratings to justify one.

  • Jacob

Why is Hannibal taking so long to be cancelled?

  • Ultima

    Smash OFFICIALLY canceled.

  • Em J

@BeBe totally of topic but is that the meekat (toy version of) Sergei I see as your profile pic!? I LOVE him!

ON TOPIC I am so glad my shows got renewed! I had doubts but this TOTALLY makes up for that I could not donate blood today! (ALWAYS eat and drink PLENTY before going!)

  • Skylar James

NBC is in a bad state, but they have football and The Voice keeping their average up. ABC however is a total mess.

  • Survivor Fan

If Hannibal is canceled, NBC, ABC, and CBS will have gone a combined:

5/26 in renewing new shows this year.

FOX and CW were a combined 5/10.

Thus, we will either be 10/36 or 11/36.

  • Carmen

    For me, the surprises were:

Malibu Country – I thought they would give it a 2nd chance.

HTLWYP – Thought that they (ABC) would convince themselves that it was too early to make long term judgement. They made the right decision, but I didn’t think they would.

The New Normal – NBC waited until almost the end to announce this one. Coincidence? Maybe, but I think they attempted to find a rationale to keep it right to the final moments. In the end, they just couldn’t rationalize it.

Body of Proof – It seemed to be improving a little. I thought that it would be ABC’s drama spackle / fill in.
(note to self: spackle is getting to be a very overused term, find something else)

  • KJ Styles

I hope that Hannibal eats the Cancellation Bear’s liver with some Fava Beans and a nice Chianti.

  • erin

who the hell is spelling ‘canceled’ and ‘cancelled’ differently on the same table i’m srsly having ocd troubles with it

  • Survivor Fan

I got these wrong (in my official final predictions):

    How to Live
    The Carrie Diaries
    Go On

I still am waiting on Hannibal, which I pegged as canceled.

  • JacobYates

Hannibal is just like, “Well, I’m waiting!”

  • Survivor Fan

    @ Erin

    Both spellings are acceptable.

  • Melissa

So the Renew/Cancel Index was wrong about the following shows:

    Body of Proof
How to Live With Your Parents
    The Carrie Diaries
    Go On

Is this a large number for you guys, or normal?

  • PeterScott

Of the cancelled I only liked Vegas. But apparently no one else did.

Just finished recording the Finale… Hope it isn’t a cliff hanger.

  • Mark

I figure Hannibal is in a weird spot because it costs NBC significantly less than any of their one hour dramas with Gaumont footing so much of the bill. So it’s probably a measure of deciding if the ratings are worth it for the cheap cost (and as a summer show).

Also the cancellation bear meme is one of the most annoying things ever…

  • Bill Gorman

“So the Renew/Cancel Index was wrong about the following shows:

    Body of Proof
How to Live With Your Parents
    The Carrie Diaries
    Go On

Is this a large number for you guys, or normal?”

Jury still out on Hannibal, which would be a big miss if renewed. I will do the final tally on Tuesday, but I think it’s a little better than last year for me. (While this year Robert and my final guesses were effectively identical, they were not last year).
