    @Lando’s Son,

    IMO,those demo ratings don’t matter as much as overall total veiwership in the longrun for the networks

    That may be your opinion, but it’s an uninformed opinion that has little relation with realty.

    TV shows survive by bringing in more revenue than they cost to produce. The revenue comes primarily though advertising. Advertising prices for prime time broadcast are set largely based on the 18-49 demo. Whether you like it or not, the demo rating is far, far more important to a shows long-term prospects than the total viewers.

    I see what you’re saying Holly but I think a show with POI’s constant weekly total ratings is NOT going to be canceled anytime soon as long has those veiwership numbers hold up and all I’m saying is these arguments between fans of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal against Person Of Interest are pointless,when they are such different shows subject wise and there in different leagues veiwership wise as well, but you can say what you want,like I said before this MY opnion and you can have yours,it’s all just entertainment in the end.

    “like I said before this ‘IS’ my opinion.”

    @Lando’s Son,

    PoI isn’t getting canceled because it is one of CBS’s highest rated dramas in the 18-49 demo, NOT because of its total viewership.

    The thing with opinions: When you ‘opinion’ contradicts facts, it’s no longer called having an opinion, it’s just called being wrong.

    Holly, lets just agree that we disagree and leave it at that,its not that big of a deal,it is just entertainment,you like what you like and I’ll continue to watch Person Of Interest with the 13 it 14 millions of other POI fans out there. God bless you. :)

    “I like PoI” is an opinion. I have no argument with that.

    “Total viewers matter” is not an opinion, it is demonstrably wrong.

    It’s like me saying I like Pepsi more than Pepsi (an opinion) versus saying that Pepsi, not Coke is known for their polar bear ads (being wrong).

  • Holly

    Lol… I like Pepsi more than Coke

    Good lord, only just seen these numbers for Scandal! Amazing!!

    Enjoy Season 3 Lando’s Son!!!

    Person of Interest is THE BOMB :)

    TVD has lost alot in total viewers.

  • huldu

    PoI got quite a few viewers that’s for sure. Still, the weird airing system they’ve been using has taken its tow. I honestly thought the show season finale was episode 19. There was such a long break until the next few episodes so I missed them.

    The Person of Interest schedule will be addressed in Season 3. So I think. There is no way the “fastest growing show” & “most watched new show of the past 2 seasons” gets the treatment it did this year.

    I expect a new time & better advertising.
