Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I sure that when Nikita’s ratings hit 4-5 the story focused more on the pretty white Russian looking chick. The one with the dead eyes, luck luster acting skills, and really nice hair. I’m sure the episodes that feature more of Maggie Q tend to rate lower. Because her acting skills are atrocious and flaccid. She is fairly average looking and really skinny. She does not appeal to the American mainstream. The show would have been more successful if you had Mila Kunis as Nikita. Maggie needs to go back to Asia if she wants to be the star.

  • ZmaX

@googly, actually those higher ratings were mostly in the first half of the season when Alex “the pretty white Russian looking chick” didn’t really have much of a storyline (I heard it was due her filming Kick-Ass 2)

Maggie Q is actually a great actress and she is also amazing in the fight scenes (she does all of her own stunts). I see what you mean about her not “appealing to the American mainstream”(maybe that’s why the show performs better in other countries) Personally, I like that she isn’t the typical “Hollywood woman”. Maggie is perfect for the role of Nikita and there is a lot of depth in her performance. Nikita is a truly complex character and Maggie is able pull off the the tough, sassy, troubled, and even nurturing aspects to the character. She’s a star in her own right and that’s all that matters.

  • googly

@ZmaX I dunno about that. The last .4 or .5 was when the pretty girl was like doing drugs and involved with some guy. These last 2 episodes seemed to revert back to Nikita and wah wah wah .2’s galore!! Look, Maggie Q can go be a star in Asia but you can’t deny that if Mila Kunis were Nikita, many more guys would be watching. Who cares if people do their own stunts?! If you are a decent enough actor, you can get other people to do the grunt work and make it look like it’s all you. No one cares about stuff like that. The Jackie Chan school of acting has run it’s course.
I remember exactly when I started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I saw Spike on TV for like 5 minutes and the chemistry he had with Buffy. I was hooked. Nikita never had THAT. No WOW factor. No HOTTNESS. Just really bad actresses and Shane West’s nasally lip pursing.
Good bye to Suckita, Crapita, Flopkita, anything is better than Mikita. I felt bad for my power tools for awhile there..

  • charmedcraft

Baseball in Chicago, SPN did not air; probably why rating is low.

  • Misha Lauenstein

As usual, Vegas wins its time slot and is #2 for the night.

  • ZmaX

Alex actually had a real huge story arc in the second part of the season (her little drug relapse in the first half was nothing compared to her [SPOILER ALERT] getting captured and manipulated by Amanda, shooting her friend/boss, staring a mutiny in Division that resulted in the end of their agency with the escape of over 300 agents, and death of her boyfriend.

well, when you’re an action star then that’s kinda nice and she is a good actress.
Mila Kunis would definitely appeal to more guys, but I just can’t imagine her as an action star (but I would like to see her in a action role one day, maybe in the rumored Tomb Raider remake?)

You seem to have a lot of hate for Maggie & the show in general o_O I guess the show never clicked for you which is perfectly fine, but it’s better to focus your energy on happy stuff, like Spuffy :)

  • Anthony Parello (AP076)

Keep telling yourself that, maybe it won in useless total viewers. How do useless total viewers and “being #2″ for the night matter when it was the last episode of the show ever?

  • POIFanatic

@ZMax: I’m a guy. I like Maggie enough, but haven’t seen Nikita. But let me tell you something. Mila Kunis is one of the most normal looking people on the face of the planet. She isn’t hot in the slightest, except maybe a tiny bit in attitude. Her hotness is over exaggerated by Hollywood, is all.

  • POIFanatic

That was for both @googly and ZMax*

Also, I stay with a show for its quality, not for the attractive factor of the actors.

  • ZmaX

thanks for the input, beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.
If a show has great actors, a well developed plot, and interesting characters i’m definitely in and Nikita has all three, hot actors are just a bonus ;)

Nikita is a good show but its problem is that first season was the best. We all know rhan american viewers are “special”, so I agree The CW for renewal. I’m sure this was a hard decision (ratings are too low), but good for the name of the network. I want a big 4th season, a big good bye.

  • pink

Memphis..People in America do not watch Nikita because we have better taste then people in other countries!LOL! It may be the best show in Bulgaria because that country obviously has nothing else to offer on tv but there are ALOT of shows in America that are 10000 times better then Nikita.Nikita is the dumbest, most boring, worst written show with the worst actors/actresses on tv.Maggie Q is the WORST actress on American tv.And nobody here cares that this show is getting a short season next yr because we have way have way better stuff on tv then a dumbass show like Nikita.

  • Nick

I really don’t understand the CW. Forget syndication at this point, it’s getting 0.2’s! Next year it’s only going to sink to 0.1’s and 0.2’s. I get they ordered a short season but who is going to want to advertise when there’s barely anyone watching it? They should’ve just paired it with 90210 and had a flop night on Friday. I love 90210 but I understand why it got cancelled, I don’t understand why they want to try and get a syndication deal for this when no one is watching it in the first place.

  • yoyo

  • Sew

What about a original tv series actor/actress again? Madeleine was a good character. What about Operations for example? In the short 5th season of La Femme Nikita writers decided to rescue a dead character (Madeline) as an hologram with an IA program. That could be Percy. It would be great.

  • Feedback

I don’t understand the thoughts behind Nikita’s renewal. Six episodes only? It currently has 67, and needs at least 21 episodes to be able to go for the magical 88. If we follow Til Death’s example which got syndication with only 81 episodes, you could say that Nikita only needs 14. But still, six just isn’t enough.

  • googly

    @pink-same wavelength for sure.
@POI-yeah that’s why Hollywood is filled with average looking people that never get surgical enhancements.B/C its about the “quality” of the show. If you don’t think Mila Kunis is a hottie, then I’m sure you think the chicks on Nikita look like dog chow. With the exception of the older female villain. She has amazing eyes and is working the gingy.
I have been to Europe many times, also to the eastern block, I have been to Australia and Asia. NO other country has anything on America in terms investment in film and television. Everyone wants to win an Emmy and an Oscar. The thought of having Nikita around for x amount of seasons to serve the Chinese was pathetic. It’s good that the show will be canceled. Let the Chinese make their own shows that certainly will not appeal to Americans. Exactly why Nikita failed. It read like cheesy foreign material.

  • pink

To everyone wondering why Nikita was renewed for a short season when they need 88 episodes well C.S(the “creator of Nikita)hinted on his Twitter pg that they did not need that many episodes if they got syndication on Netflex.

  • hi

Darling, 90210 is WHAT? I watch every week, and I can say, is a piece of crap. Shenae Grimes CAN’T act, i have pity. Dixon is the worst character from TV EVER, Silver is a egocentric selfish BITCH, Matt Lanter can’t act too.

    Adrianna and Naomi is ok.

The script is a cemitery with so many holes, storyline without conclusion. (someone remember ETHAN?) Where Silver’s sister go?

90210 is worst for SURE, and it’s just ONE show on CW.

Other I can list is BATB, but that improve since episode 10, so I’ll give a break.

I remember TSC. Was AWFUL. A show of witches without magic? What a hell? Bad write, awful act, etc.

And I’ saying just from what I WATCHED every single episode.

Nikita Season 3 had bad times, yes. A lot of filler and stuff, but is NOT bad blablabla like you’re saying.
