Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Wow now I’m gonna watch the finale since I’m hearing good things about it. But revenge had better come hard next season cause imo they lost viewers and many simply have not returned. Im barely hanging on as it is and will skip to watching the finale after not watching a couple eps. I thought at least 2.0 but wow wasnt expecting this.

  • JSH

That’s crap that “Revenge” was down!! BEST two hours of the season!! Shame! But, glad it’s back for season 3 and they need to move it to a better timeslot. Get it away from ONCE now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Susan

I also have to say that the Revenge 2-hour finale was amazing. That last cliffhanger scene alone was worth it! It doesn’t get better then that!

  • Barbie

First, I’m a big ONCE fan, not a hater. But with that LOUSY finale they had last night, I’m surprised they got all of that. Argh! So frustrated!

  • Karl

Revenge was awesome. I just don’t understand how the people that tuned in to the penultimate (also amazing) Episode last week didn’t return for the big payoff. Maybe it will rise in the finals.

  • Michael

    @CC,

There’s already a chart for social networking, GetGlue chart.

  • Dante

Where is the poster on here who began the Revenge against Scandal debate? It is amazing how now, when the show he bashed is sinking and the show he loves is hitting highs, he is nowhere to be found to gloat. You would think it would be easy to gloat right now. People are odd.

  • A true tv fan since 1986

I seriously want ABC to put Revenge back on Wednesdays where it belongs now! Putting it on Sundays was one of the most stupidest mistakes ABC has made. Bad move ABC! BTW, I loved last night’s season finale!

  • HalCapone

Am I misreading the Survivor numbers? Text says 2.2 from 8-10 vs last Spring’s 2.6 but the chart shows 2.6

  • SimonS

OUAT and REVENGE were just great. REVENGE especially! So much happened in those two hours that my mind is still racing!!!

  • BigBrotherFan

I haven’t seen REVENGE yet but PLEASE GOD don’t kill off Jack or Ashley!!! PLEASE!!!! You already killed my girl FauxAmanda I can’t take another!

  • Max

The revenge finale was so good. Especially the cliffhangers in the last 5 minutes. Hope it adjusts up!

  • frodo

Revenge was amazing last night, just amazing, that was a great episode, hopefully moving it away from Sunday at 21PM will save the show. IMO this finale was one of the best episodes of any broadcast tv show.

Obviously more people watch reality trash than a quality tv, thank god for cable. Broadcast viewers are so fickle.

  • cc

    @Michael

I don’t follow Get glue. Maybe I should start?

  • Jeffk

Revenge was a roller coaster ride last night. Those numbers are just disappointing. Hopefully the numbers will grow with summer marathoners next season. And move it from 9pm!

  • >Revenge_Fans

That finale of Revenge was just the best. It’s amazing how few people tuned in. I mean with everything that was set up during the season and resolved in the finale, I just hope that the good word about the second season will have people watch it on DVD during the summer and coming back. This show definitely deserves it.

  • Shepherd

Wow, I called the Revenge dip, and OUAT being stable. It’s been a while since I was two for two. If OUAT adjusts down to 2.1, I’ll have been doubly right! :)

Even though Revenge hit 2.0 after I said it wouldn’t, it never got higher than 2, so only a little egg on my face.

I still can’t believe all of the high predictions for OUAT is yesterday’s poll.

Chart says that Survivor got 2.6. Does that mean it tied last years finale, or did it get a 2.2 last year and the text got the numbers switched?

  • Brad

Guessing Survivor hurt ABC. The dreaded DVR should help them

  • BrieK

The finale of Revenge was great, but the rest of the season was so-so. I’m surprised the rating is down from last week, but not surprised it’s so much lower than season 1′s finale.

  • Justin121

    Half-hours for REVENGE?

    Hope it rebounds next year.

It’s got its mojo back since episode ~2.18.
