Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    2 words MOTHER’S DAY!

  • Sam

    Revenge was truly satisfying and the season has been back to form ever since the big event episode 14.

    People need to watch it over the summer and come back to it. And ABC needs to do something about the airing of the episodes.

  • HalCapone

    @Amanda Kondolojy
    Please reconcile your text and chart for Survivor. Is it 2.6 or 2.2 for last evening’s finale?

  • Shepherd

    @SJ

    Well congratulations ABC, you’ve successfully killed one of your most successful shows from last season!

    Revenge killed itself. The only thing ABC did was shift their promotion dollars to a show that would actually benefit. I don’t buy into the long breaks/ airing against awards competition excuses.

  • Liam

    @HalCapone

    Survivor got a 2.6.
    The reunion show got a 2.2.

    Its all in the table.

  • Jeffk

    Also, for the first time ever last night I watched Revenge instead of Game of Thrones. It was a great decision; Revenge finale was insanely great while GoT was crap last night. The fact that GoT demo will probably slay Revenge on GoT’s worst episode of the series vs Revenge’s best in the series is killing me slowly right now.

  • Michael

    Family Guy: 2.4

    Revenge: 1.6

    WOW!

  • Amy

    Revenge waited too long to turn things around. The people who stopped watching aren’t coming back.

  • Alan

    Revenge :( I hope ABC moves it back to Wednesdays or Thursdays at least.

  • Samunto

    @Liam
    If you read the text you’d know that the ratings for Survivor don’t match.

    Really bad for Survivor.

    Will Celeb Apprentice really ever revive from bad ratings after the awful all star edition?! DWTS didn’t if the spring edition is anything to go by. And the Trump is still touting a renewal or the No.1 show!

  • Joseph

    I just hope abc move revenge to midweek as it really is a midweek guilty pleasure- something is telling me though that it will be moved to 10:00 on sundays

  • zerg

    Revenge needs to be moved…It won’t survive aganist Grammy’s, Winter Olympics,crazy schedule,bad plot as

    OUAT spin-off(December-February run until the Oscar) seems will be sacrificed to save OUAT..

    We’ll see tomorrow

  • Aquitar

    And THIS is why Revenge needs to move away from Sundays. The finale was AMAZING and renewed my faith (and interest) in the show. Don’t be stupid ABC. Hopefully it adjusts up in the finals! OUAT finale was kind of lackluster however in my opinion.

  • iMember

    ABC should do this, if they don’t put Revenge back on Wed @ 10.

    Thursday nights
    8PM – Greys Anatomy
    9PM – Scandal
    10PM – Revenge

    I think that could work possibly.

  • Michael

    Celebrity Apprentice is down because all the controversial, exciting, and big personality celebrities have been fired already. Penn, while very nice, intelligent, and successful he doesn’t have an exciting persona. Trace Adkins? He has the personality of a dead fish!

  • Andrew Dias

    @iMember

    I highly doubt ABC will move Grey’s Anatomy up a slot when has spent much of its history basically dominating that slot.

  • bluejays

    Not great numbers for Revenge but hardly as terrible as some are saying considering some of the lows we’ve been seeing for weeks now across the nets.

  • Lena

    @iMember

    They can’t put Scandal at nine, because of the content.

    @Lisbeth Slander

    Scandal offers tons of sex scenes. Take that away, I wonder how many would watch…Revenge relies more on an actual plot without sex.

  • gerry

    hope revenge adjusts up. i hope they move it away from sunday. scheduling along with (first half of the season) poor writing really hit this show hard. i was really hoping the finale would be back around 2.0 – it was a great ender for the season!

  • Janie

    The thing about Revenge is it just seems that so many characters are so poorly “acted” imo that I can hardly get through it any more. I love the show so I wish they would clean that up. I mean, can the daughter get any worse. Anyway, imo, there are several that are just not believable to me and I hear that a lot. Fans are shocked but the numbers don’t lie in that people are not watching in big numbers and I think part of that is because of some of the characters and the fact that they are simply not believable.
