Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Yayyy castle

  • Guardian Owl

    @John P
    What they need are actual stars, every season when they announce the cast I can usually pick out 2 or 3 names that I recognize and then rest I have to look up to find out who they are.

  • Greg

    90210 only got a 0.3 for its first half hour! I guess Oh Sit fans must have tuned in thinking there would be an episode, and having not found one, decided to stick around for a while until they realized just how horrendous 90210 is (that doesn’t even take 30 minutes, but they’re Oh Sit fans, they take a while to figure things out).

  • Grey

    “There’s an error in the table: Hawaii Five-0 was new, NOT a repeat.”

    That makes their numbers even worse. :-/

  • PW

    the voice sucked last night

  • Flame

    So, anybody know the chick that’s the Mother? Never saw her in anything (okay, apparently she was on the Sopranos – for 3 episodes). Nice bump for the Season Finale and The Reveal, and lots of strings not connected going into the wedding in IX.1.

    Since I did not watch 90210, did fans who followed it get a satisfying ending? I remember people hoping about it when Final Season was announced some months ago.

  • r

    Revolution steady! I hope it goes up, though. Lat night’s episode was the best so far, the show is really unleashing its potential.

  • DonnaT

    I now have the last 3episodes of Revolution piled up on my DVR and I’m in zero rush to watch them. I haven’t found any of the characters – the “Good Ones” as well as the “Bad Ones” (the characters you ‘love to hate’ as the saying goes) interesting or sympathetic enough to hold my interest. Investing in at least several of the main characters in some ways can overcome a weak storyline. When Rev moves to Wednesdays at 8pm next season and if The CW keeps Arrow in the same spot, there’s not even a question of what I will watch and DVR – Arrow.

  • Rodrigo

    @AmandaKondology can you please put half hours for 90210 ? Cause the actual episode was at 9!

  • John P

    @Guardian Owl
    I do agree with you but unfortunately I think they can’t get any high profile celebs for this show.

  • Ryan T

    @Flame – Her name is Christin Milioti and she played lead on Broadway’s ONCE for which she was Tony nominated for. I hope that means we get to hear her sing and play!

    Great result for Castle! Beat both of its competition with a lower-rated lead-in to boot.

  • Dillan

    @Flame

    Kind off. Some decisions were ridiculous IMO. (Spoiler: Silver getting cancer and Naomi still dating a guy she’s only known for a month) for their ending, that shouldn’t of happened.

  • BrieK

    Not good for Revolution. The Voice typically drops at this point in the competition because it is basically American Idol from here on out. However, I doubt NBC is complaining. It still wipes the floor with everything else. I’m really impressed with Castle building on DWTS.

  • Guardian Owl

    Seems weird they haven’t released the ABC schedule yet (as NBC and FOX released early), think they were waiting for Monday rating results to confirm a radical, Castle / Dancing with the Stars related change?

  • JONNYSBRO

    The voice is still doing solid numbers and should adjust up by today. The voice always goes down a bit for live shows but seriously the show will have zero competition as it goes into june. Even though viewing levels are lower it did well two years ago. Damn how I met climbed huge cause of reveal of mother. Next years final should be big ratings as it climbs to its series finale.

  • Rachor Samien

    H50 or the Mentalist is moving to Friday. It seems that Hawaii Five-0 will be cancelled after next season.

  • Raul

    Go ABC!!!!!!!

  • sarah

    Shakira is boring that’s why The Voice is down down down

  • Ryan T

    @GuardianOwl – Each network has a different date in which they release their schedule. NBC and FOX were this past Sunday and Monday respectively. ABC will release theirs today and CBS tomorrow.
