Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

There is ZERO legitimate speculation that Mindy Kaling will win, or even be nominated for a Best Comedy Actress Emmy. To suggest otherwise is nonsense.

The nominees for Best Comedy Actress will most likely will be:

    Julia-Louis Dreyfus
    Tina Fey
    Amy Poehler
    Zooey Deschanel
    Lena Dunham
    Melissa McCarthy (slight longshot)
    Edie Falco (slight longshot)

In fact, I would bet THE MINDY PROJECT will receive a total of ZERO Emmy nominations.

  • jT

@holly it still makes no sense.

More popular superheros had canceled shows, yet abc thinks a unknown can change that?

This is birds of prey all over again.

  • Kumar

Well done to Mindy Project. High numbers and renewal. We Indians are become the new Jews of US.Science, technology, medicine and now entertainment.

  • Alex

I wasn’t being entirely serious with the race and gender card although I do think both factors probably played into Fox’s decision process a little. The bigger factor will be that Mindy isn’t a complete disaster with 18-34 viewers as mentioned.

  • Michael

    Big Brother Fan,

Shakira is in the midst releasing a new album, and she’s a touring artist. Therefore, she won’t be able to do it next season.

3.4 for a results show is amazing, I don’t see how that’s considered a failure. As usual, The Voice is going to adjust up in the finals later this evening. X Factor would kill to have these numbers for the LIVE SHOWS results.

  • Hatim

Shakiras confirmed shes leaving for next season to be a mummy and work on her next album, but hasn’t ruled out future seasons

Cee Lo is currently in talks, but is expected to return. You must be looking forward atleast to what new animal hes got lined up for the next series to join him LOL.

Adam and Blake are expected to return too, which is odd because they complain about being busy but then continue to do both cycles

  • joel

I like CeeLo over Usher, who comes across as a bit phony and condescending.

Why can’t I compare Rookie Blue and Hannibal? Because you say so? For those two networks, it’s the same business deal. The studio that makes Hannibal has augmented their production budget by preselling the foreign rights. That’s why it’s airing worldwide now. Hannibal is much more vibrant and alive than you think but keep walking out on that plank, buddy.

  • bjssp

I know. I was just kidding.

  • Alex

It’s tanking now without her, though. I think people tuned in to see the new judges.

Tanking is perhaps overstating it. Assuming upward adjustment in the final it’ll be down a few tenths vs. the same episode in the Fall. It’ll also be up vs. (roughly) the same episode last Spring. Although that’s a more difficult comparison to make given the format changes.

    Half Hours ?

This is birds of prey all over again.

Yes because Bird of Prey launched off the back of a more then billion dollar grossing film.

  • jT

@alex coulson is not popular enough to lead a show by himsel.

Marvel jumped the gun here and should have waited for himym…..

I know I’ve said it several times, but there will be nothing to watch next year except NCIS… I might watch CSI out of loyalty plus it has gotten better since they got rid of Fishborn and brought on Danson and Schuler. I’ll not watch The Voice since they paid Christina $17 million to come back… Carson Daly said “I think people will enjoy the hardness she brings to the show.” NO Carson we don’t, we like it now the way it is… Few people like Christina… CBS has no new drama’s worth watching to replace Vegas. I’m tired of the 18-49 DEMO Rules game… I give up on TV altogether.

I was about to drop the show 6-7 episodes in but I remember liking the Thanksgiving episode so I stuck with it and it got better. I think the only episodes I disliked this season were the one where Nick was talking to that weird Chinese man and the one with Dennis Farina, because I can’t freakin’ stand Dennis Farina!

Speaking of the Emmys, this might be a good year for Julie Bowen to move into lead. Melissa McCarthy’s Bridesmaids afterglow won’t score her any more nominations, Mindy is a long-shot (unless they want to nominate a woman of color) and I wouldn’t expect Edie Falco to be nominated again since Nurse Jackie has lost all its buzz and shed tons of viewers.

I’m a little nervous for POI moving to Tues. I don’t think LA is going to help it much for a lead in as their Thur comedies have done. It’s strongest competition will come from Chicago Fire that will only get stronger barring any sophomore slump. Overall I’m happy with Grimm going back to Fri & paired with Dracula. Mindy will need to improve its numbers next year if it wants a season 3.

  • Michael

Todd, she’s being paid 12.5 million dollars; same salary as Shakira. 17 million dollars was a rumor, but was confirmed 12.5!

  • jT

I love the avengers, but shield is not the show i thought it was going to be.

It’s basically no ordinary heroes mixed with csi.

  • SJ

I understand Clark Gregg had a more prominent role in the movies than Cobie Smulders. Also, she’s coming off a long-running comedy show and is not an established drama actress. I’m not really sure ABC would offer her to headline a drama.
