I have been a registered independent ever since…if you can’t accept the truth, that’s YOUR problem not mine…what’s wrong? the truth doesn’t fit your narrow mindedness?

Sen. Ron Johnson: CBO Report Shows Obamacare to Cost Double What Obama Promised

In a week full of big news and scandals plaguing the administration, some big news that is likely to have larger implications may have slipped by in this busy news cycle. A new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report issued on Wednesday showed that the estimated cost of Obamacare over the next decade will now top $1.8 trillion – double the estimated cost that President Obama promised in 2009.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) was quick to jump on the news saying, “The President and his allies in Congress sold Obamacare by promising it would cost the taxpayers less than $1 trillion in its first decade. Instead, the Congressional Budget Office now makes clear that once fully implemented, it will cost far more than that over its first ten years: a whopping $1.8 trillion.”

“The Senate Majority Leader and the Senate author of Obamacare, Democrats Harry Reid (NV) and Max Baucus (MT), recently called the implementation of Obamacare a train wreck. I agree. And in addition, it will wreck our wallets too.”

According to the Washington Examiner, the massive gap in cost estimates is a result of effectively only measuring out the cost 6 years and not 10. The report also says up to 7 million more Americans will not have empoyment-based insurance by 2023.

Sen. Johnson explained, “Obamacare will reduce medical innovation and the quality of care, increase wait times, lead to rationing, and bust the federal budget. Senators showed their concern about the cost of the program recently by approving a budget resolution that included my amendment to require more comprehensive Obamacare cost estimates. That provision was adopted on a bipartisan vote of the Budget Committee.”

  • Ralph Hahn

Hey Fitz: You are a red rubber hot water bottle that hangs on the shower rod, with a white tube at the bottom.

Now, that I’ve cleaned THAT up, unless you have a TRUE breakdown of the 25-54 and 35-64 demo groups, isn’t is possible that there could be more 25 year olds than 55 year olds watching in the first group….and more 35 year olds watching in the 35-64 group?

There is NO breakdown of actual ages within those age groups, so calling Fox’s audience ‘elderly’ is what us-hole and YOU now have to prove. A$$clown!

  • Rick MT

The people that were watching MSNBC 6 months ago just don’t seem to be tuning in any more. It doesn’t apear that they went to CNN. HLN is the network that is notably up in the ratings. It will be interesting whether HLN will maintain the audience when the trial is over.
